What Not To Wear (while riding)

Last edited:
If it's too hot for gear, it's too hot to ride.

Welcome to my world (Redding, CA). Most of summer is over 100 degrees with peaks up to 113. Today, it was 105. WTF??? Riding on the freeway was like riding into a giant blowdryer. Can't imagine why I was only in a tee-shirt and jeans. I wish I had shorts on!!!!

gosh some of those riders are pretty fearless riding like that... =\

for longer rides do you guys carry a camel back or do you have a backpack to bring water?

Ok so let me ask the obvious here, what is it with the females wearing those stuffed animal backpacks on bikes? Am I missing something?

she got turned into a Bangling... but, she's still hot tho...

Hey, safety first!! That's my motto....Just keep those sticks she has away!

A lot of girls on bikes want to make sure that the people on the road know that they're a girl on a bike and don't want to be mistaken for a guy. So they do everything they can to girly themselves up. Pink from head to toe, fake ponytails stuck to their helmet, girly graphics, and "cute" little stuffed animals for backpacks.

Yes... this is true. (for me & most other girls I know)

I want everyone around me knowing I'm a girl rider. For two reasons: 1: Cage-drivers think I can't handle my stuff so they usually back off and give me more room to maneuver (which I appreciate) 2: Boys on motorcycles usually don't do stupid stuff like try to instigate a race or stunt competition.

Aside from my pants, everything I wear has pink on it and my bike is very pink'ed out :p :cheer: :o

I believe it's also one of the things where everyone thinks girls can't ride. My sister gets that a lot because she's really small (5' even and about 100 lbs) and everyone is always surprised that she rides.
