:justkidding:Here's a handful I've pulled from the last month or so. Like I said, most of the squids are more covered up in the cooler weather so the pickings were a bit slim.
Nice gloves and shoes
That denim jacket is going to protect so well.
This dude needs to get something on his knees before he accidently drags knee. I've seen the results of that in person. It's not pretty.
For anyone riding as a passenger or who's taught a passenger how to ride, use this as an example of what not to do. How this dude isn't pitching all over the place with her weight that far separated from his, I don't know.

Pay attention to the damn road. This is the problem with riders knowing where the photogs are.

OK you're in full leathers and you let a kid get on in no gear and you're riding like that?!?! WTF?
As far as pics on Palomar, Either there are fewer squids going out, or the photogs are not shooting them as much as they used to in order to keep many of them off the mountains. Many would go up just to get a picture taken and didn't know the road well, etc... and they're the ones who caused a lot of the accidents. There had been talks about not taking their pictures to discourage them.
But there's still a few on the sites. Right side of the bike is demolished and he's still riding in no gear. :eyebrow:
This image should give you a good idea of the kind of turns we have on Palomar.
Trust me, if I'd had a camera, I would have gotten proof. :thumbup:

I've enjoyed the photos and appreciate your efforts. Please keep up the good work. As far as the people getting overly worked up about it, its simple dont read it move on. Get off the guys back and speak about it openly on the thread. I don't think trying to bully him in PM's and emails helps anyone. I feel its kind of cowardice as Jon is far from the only one on here that feels this way. Thanks again Jon I look forword to more pics.

This is all for educating riders on what not to wear while riding. Especially on those roads. So you are doing a favor and helping people realize it is VERY dangerous to not wear gear. I've had my accident and know the gear saved my ass even though I still ended up in the hospital, I could have been dead without it. If it helps smarten even 1 person up and saves their butt, then good. The haters can hate somewhere else. :thumbup:

truth! Lol tights rip and stretch easily, i'd hate to see those legs all fucked up for life. I havn't let my girlfriend ride with me until I have enough money to buy her full gear. It's an individual choice to wear gear or not, but I learned my lesson a long time ago on the playground. When I was 10 I tripped while running and peeled half my face off on the concrete...how fast can a child run? about 6 or 7 mph max? Imagine at 30 or up at 70? I would have been scarred for life.
I'll have to find pictures somewhere, it was pretty bad and I ended up in the hospital.

If you do hit Palomar, BE CAREFUL! That road is not for the faint of heart. Which is why it's so insane for these idiots to be riding on it without any gear. Even if you're just cruising up or down the hill, some of the turns are so tight, over 230º some of them, and steep enough that there are times you can look down from the edge of the turn and see where it exits.
This may be difficult to explain with these images since I know exactly where these are shot from but lets see if it translates to people not familiar with the road. For example, this image:
Is taken from the same spot as the next image. The rider above is heading into the right hand turn that you can see the exit of in this image. The turn actually starts with a slight left hand lean, then hard into the tight, probably 200º+ right hand turn.
And here's this is same rider from the first shot, coming up past the photographer.

what makes the switchbacks even more crazy/tough is the elevation changes, I often find going down 10X harder than going up on them, I almost always turn-in way to soon... going up, is awesome (though that last time I hit 211 and was heading up just out of a gentle turn, a bear went running across the road about 20ft ahead of me).
