both sound like a step in the right direction. Synthetic deff seems to make shifting buttery smooth. Adjust the shift lever a bit also. maybe you just aren't getting enough leverage on it in its current position.

The guy just said the dealer is putting new oil/oil filter. What else is there to do ? Ride it and check it again in a few hundred miles. Or check the oil level daily if you are that freaked about it. It has warranty. If it dies its on them.

Yes, valves stretch over time requiring adjustment. Yes, the seats these days are made out of harder material than the valve, which means the valve stretches instead of the valve seats wearing. It has everything to do with the multiple heating and cooling cycles seen during normal operation...
