Shifting Troubles

Hiya,

I've been having some issues with shifting on my 2012 6R.. It's got 14,000 miles on it and I'm running 10w40 yamalube currently. Clutch is adjusted properly, but it's definitely feeling very "clunky" and occasionally have difficulties shifting it from 1st to 2nd quickly with it being rough even in the upper gears. I have an extended warranty plan on the bike should it be something transmission related, but I was curious to see if there was any other options I could explore before I took it to a dealer. I was told I could try switching out to full synthetic, and checking the shift rod to make sure it isn't loose. Any other suggestions?

both sound like a step in the right direction.

Synthetic deff seems to make shifting buttery smooth.
Adjust the shift lever a bit also. maybe you just aren't getting enough leverage on it in its current position.

Agree with surfjunkie, full synthetic is night and day better.
