How do you get the images within the message?
I cant figure it out and rather jealous of the quality that you guys post

If you want better photos get better glass.
also, don't upload to the forum, it will degrade quality of truly good images. Start a flickr account and upload there. Use their simple share BB code and past it into your threads here.
Also be sure that you are using the right focusing mode on your camera for moving objects or use manual and proper f/ to ensure a clean crisp image.
you'll get there, it just takes time...

Theres an "Insert Image" icon in the tool bar when you are replying to a post.
If you are pulling the image from your hard drive with the "Manage Attachments" option, (after you upload the file) you can right click on the file, select "Properties", then highlight the address and copy it.
Then move the curser to where you want to drop the image in the post window, click on the "Insert Image" icon, backspace or delete the "http://" and paste the copied address...and...Bob's your uncle.
Use the same process for pulling images off the web. Just right click on the image and...yada...yada...yada.
Note that some images are protected and will not allow this procedure. At that point you will have to get creative...which I will not go into at this juncture.

Went out to the Zoo last weekend. Trying to take some of these pics through glass and/or net enclosures can be tough.

did you know flamingos are pink because of the iodine in the shrimp they eat? they are born white, and as the digest the shrimp the iodine dyes the feathers a pinkesh orange.
I did actually. I'm not afraid to admit I'm a bit of a zoo geek. We get memberships every year and probably go to the zoo or the wild animal park twice a month or more. They were a customer of mine in my last job and it was one of my favorite places to make sales calls along with Sea World. I love animals and would love to do a photo safari in the wild some day.

Cool, that must be a different species of Hyena than what the zoo in Radelaide has, or my memory is failing me again and meshing some random other animal in its place in my mind
Here's a few of my baby girl Abigail. I took these today. Unfortunately I didn't re-adjust my ISO so I was shooting at 1600 on a super bright day. I think they actually came out pretty well considering. The first one I was kinda going for an old school type look so the extra noise helped.

Thanks! I just happened to be at the right place a the right time. She's not mobile yet but she's still wobbly while sitting. So it's usually just a snap shot. I noticed all the angles once I opened it up in Lightroom.
Definately have that one blown up and printed on a wide format printer with archival inks on good paper. Its expensive but worth it. You will thank yourself in years to come.
I've done a few important shots for my family like that over the years and when others view them they are just amazed.
And for some reason black and whites or grey scales work best for that process.
Anywhere you can recommend?
I added most of the noise, do you think that'd translate well to print? Or should I remove some of it?
I dont know of any place in Maryland but you could talk with a few local photographers and see who they use for wide format printing. Some of them might even have printers in house and you check out their competency by what's hanging on their walls. When it comes to printing art they are usually very serious and anal retentive. Which in this case is a good thing.
As far as the added noise translating over to a different medium, you could discuss it with the printer and get their opinion or just print one of each and give the one you like the least to the grandparents. They will love it no matter what.
Whatever you do though, make sure you work with a printer that takes pride in their work. A good printer will make several test prints to dial in colors, tones and saturations. Shoot, they may even let you keep some of the tests if they are really cool or at least seriously discount them if you wanted to keep them.
Research will be your best tool in this endeavor.
