Hi everyone! I’m brand new to this website, I’ve been searching up some things on my 2009 fz6r since I got her. I haven’t found too many answers yet on what’s been going on with my bike, but I thought I’d ask to see if anyone here has the mechanical knowledge or different thoughts.

SO. My bike is a rebuild from salvage. I just replaced tires on her. Did a brake fluid change with my mechanic and he looked at everything and said it looked great.

My issue is… it started out jerking in about 4th,5th, and 6th gear. Then just started dying when I’d go into those gears…no good when I’m on the highway. Strugglement with startup after that, but got it going.

I was thinking it was throttle position sensor. So I replaced that. I also just replaced the spark plugs. Took her out and now it’s dying in first gear as I let out the clutch (slowly). My next thought is battery and stator. My budget has been super limited lately so that’s why I’m doing these adjustments myself, but if anyone has any ideas let ya gurl know cause I need my therapy.

Also, no codes or anything popping up on the bike. Idling is at about 1800 rpm.
My killswitch housing is actually cracked, I know I need to replace it. It’s on the list.

I did check the throttle bodies when I replaced the throttle sensor, They look good and secure. Which rubber mount are you referring to? I know I probably need to readjust my throttle opening and closing right (since I replaced the sensor). I only have about 13,000 miles on her and it is a rebuild, but no mods.
Also for putting the tank back on, do you leave both black hoses open?? I know at least one of them is for overfill of fuel but just curious and couldn't find an exact answer on the internet lol

You think this could be more of an electrical issue than mechanical?

Thank you for the response by the way! Good insight!
