Well it took about an hour and a lot of tugging and pulling but it can be done. My advice would be don't try to get it absolutely perfect first try. I got it close first try then pulled a few staples here tugged a little there... Just keep working at it.

To get rid of that one wrinkle everyone is getting I had all the staples in around the whole seat then pulled about 3" worth of staples on each side out and pulled really hard to get some extra vinyl then re stapled.

Thanks again Jt, I have Tapatalk now but I started messing with my seat.

1.I cut into a 2" piece of rebond to fit onto the seatpan properly.
2.I glued another piece of 2" rebond on top of it to get the height needed near the tank, then I rounded off the edges to get the proper shape.
3.Cut the gelpad from LuiMoto into the rebond.
4.I glued 1" of high density foam over everything before installing the cover.

It feels great now, I can't feel the seatpan anywhere.I lost a little rise near the front (although the front is 1" taller).Its like I added 50% foam up front and 100% in the rear, but it was all I could fit into the front of the seat cover.It isn't a big deal to me though because im tall and sit towards the back of the seat anyway.If I need more rise I can shim up the front of the seatpan, or file down the rubber legs a little to drop the back.Its to comfortable to care much though.

Got my foam cut and gel pad inserted today. But the 6mm staples don't fit my staple gun, sigh. Might not have time to go to the store tmw, might be another week until mine is ready to go

Got my front seat and gold gel on. Reshaped a little bit and definitely seems more comfortable. I'll get some pics on the bike soon.

Here is mine all installed...have yet to ride afraid of getting the white dirty.
Plus it looks so good, thinking of selling the bike to Barbers Moto Museum
I'm actually debating re-doing it just to replace all the foam under and plush it up a little, but that can wait till winter time.

Finally got to my front yesterday and today. I won't lie, I'm scared to do the back seat, sigh.

Some gel install pics, then the front. Really had some issues with staples, I probably trashed more than I actually got to stick. Using large paper binder clips really helped.

I think the color choices work well, with the white lacing. My original was a stock red seat....

So for everyone who did their own, when you did the rear seat, which end did you staple/start at first? For over an hour now and don't even have one staple in. Maybe its me, but it doesn't seem to be fitting right, but maybe I'm starting it wrong. Seems to be more material stretching underneath as compared to the front seat

This dry fit doesnt look right at all...so much extra fabric in the front, but I swear its the right spot for the seams. Kind of frustrated

Totally lost and frustrated on this rear seat. Im worried I might have to send this back to Luimoto, but want to make sure I tried the same process that others have tried here.
