I had a job opportunity in San Diego back in 2000, passed on it because it paid so little I wouldn't have been able to afford a bike.

Same weekend? Pretty much the same day if you wanted to. lol :thumbup: Yes We're spoiled weather pussies. But we can afford to be because we don't have 3 or 4 months that there's no chance of riding. So we can be a little more selective of the conditions we choose to ride in.

Yep yep. ^_^ A friend just found this pix of me from Saturday at "the snake." We all did that loop in a caravan, and everyone went slow- ie around the speed limit plus or minus. It was my first time on that road on 2 wheels, and the angle of some of the turns are steep- almost like GMR, tho objectively, GMR is more difficult imo...

After Neptunes some of us did Decker canyon back to the 101. And that was FUN... Just wish I could go faster, as I'm still very slow. -_-

man I wish I could have gone. My arse was at work . Pics from the website looked like it was an awesome ride. I had dinner with Alex, Jenn, and Zach earlier in the week. They said 30+ was supposed to attend. I'm a sad panda lol

No worries BJ. There's another ride on the 27th. Hopefully u can make that one... Did u have to work scheduled OT, or did something break? Hope everything was ok... Working in IT is like being a fireman. I'm pretty burned out myself. -_-

Not to sure if I'll make the 27th one either...on Fri 18th yamaha inspector is looking at the bike. It's also supposed to rain on Friday. Looks like I'm riding wet to the dealership....

Yeah unfortunately I do shift work with split weekends. I'm off Sun/Mon. I might have Fri/Sat off in the near future though!

what do you mean, I had mine out on sunday, had to back over a ice pile by the garage door but the rest was alright. good week if we can avoid the rain.
Hopefully ill get some still shots in the coming weeks for the thread.

My 100' driveway is starting to signs of pavement through the ice!! I'm going to roll the scooter down the drive tomorrow morning and ride it in to work. :thumbup:

The bike is getting loaded into my truck for the four hour drive to the dealer on Saturday... here's hoping he can get parts and will only keep it a couple of weeks. Owning an out-of-production Italian bike is fun!

Just come out Tony... SCAR is a diverse group and welcomes all ethnicities. You probably can ride with the "fast" group, I'm guessing- like Flying Banana (Jensen)... i'm usually in the "slow" group..

Will keep our fingers crossed for the inspection and hope the outcome is what you want... If u can't make the 27th there's the canyon carving seminar on the 6th. Cant wait for that one, as Marc is sure to teach us some useful stuff.

Did u see the photos of him dragging knee at the snake with Raquel on the back? lol...

Sounds like they're doing things similar to the way we do our clinics in out group. We focus on proper sport bike riding techniques and safe riding. Most of the time is spent on line selection, weight distribution, vision, and why certain techniques do what they do.
