Ah ok. I thought they wouldn't sound quite the same with a different header. How much does the PCV cost? It's plug n play if I remember right? (well close to it anyways?)

Thanks Mate! Just spread the words... I'm not doing it to get rich over night, but for the fun of it. I bet since all the bike comes with those big ugly can now...that might be a good cheap option. Thrust me, I would have bought a TB also if I could afford it.

I had one dude chasing me down the road about 1 month ago with his early 2K R6. I was on my way to work and he show up right next to me. He ask me where I got my pipe...

I got mine from Indysuperbike right before Xmas. They were $265.00 or so. I will give you the MAP. I have 3 different one.
Sport: Awesmome mid range, but 39MPG on freeway...
Crusing: I use that one earlier... good forlong ride. (51MPG with my wife + luggage)
The other one is kind of right in the middle...
My plan isto use MAP per gear advance option. So I will use the Sport MAP in 1-2 gear, MID mapin 3,4and 5th,then cruising map in 6th.
The only difference between sports and cruising map is the mid range (10%, 15% throttle) but the topend rpm is the same. Just better fuel economy for crusing...

I took her for a spin around the block... hummm! I can get use to the extra noise!!! Sound great! I will ride with the Viper can a bit this weekend to workon the Map, same way I did the Supertrapp. I started with the Supertrapp map, after the first ride it look like it won't be too much work. Top end look good, just need to work on the bottom end, she's sound a bit thirsty.... me too! :iconbeer::iconbeer::iconbeer::iconbeer::iconbeer:

After about 75 miles on the new 6R Viper Racing set up, here's what I have to say:
The sound is amassing! Sound FAST, look FAST!!! Now compare to my R6 Supertrapp set up...
Accordingly to my butt dine the Supertrapp has a better mid range and might give up a bit at top end. But the Viper is still really good in the mid range and might have an edge on top end. I tried different map, trim here, add there... Even tried the M4 like some of you are using with the Viper. Didn't cut it for me. A little too fat on top end. Too much gas is just as bad as not enough. So I end up with a "glorified" map the I use with the Supertrapp. I work on it a bit more tomorrow, but I'm pretty close. Not as good as a real dino map. But since every engine are a bit different...

I understand the Supertrapp restricts depending on the spacers and that is how you got around the longer pipe issue to increase port scavenging. You can't do that with the Viper.
Once you add about 14 more inches of pipe and get some length, you will see what that does to the midrange.
While riding today I noticed my front end was really light a bunch of times with only a 50% throttle in 2nd gear and only at about 8K to 9K.
This gets me around obstacles (cagers) in a heartbeat.
I'm still using the stock M4 map btw...

You're right. If I was going to keep the Viper can I will consider a longer pipe. I still need to work on the map a little today. It would be interesting to try the map that I come up with on your bike. PM your email if you are interested.
Some of mid range might get lost due to the 6R pipe being a 4-1 (4 in 1 flat merge collector) Like you know 4-2-1 collector have a better scavenging at mid range, but 4-1 are better at top end.

sounds much deeper in tone.... I wouldn't mind a deeper tone... not really about loudness for me... might have to start my collection and get me the R6 header just for now.
but I got other priorities... got to get some more gear first.

Ya, it's a deeper tone. The Supertrapp is a higher pitch, but about just as loud. Pass 9K the Viper can is in a league of his own. I was driving down I95 yesterday when someone cut my off (I saw it coming, so I slow down way before) The A.H. was right in front of me cruising and talking on the phone, he never saw or even look in his mirror. I down shift 3 gears and pass him slowly at 9500 rpm with the Viper can.... then he notice me!

Accordingly to my butt dino and wheelymeter, the 6R Viper map is ready. It took about 100 miles to tune it up. I got some of the mid range back and the top end is awesome! Honestly this is an awesome combo for the money! I will pull it out tomorrow, so if anyone is interested... it is for sale. Normally it would be $450.00. Since I had to put 100 miles on it for the map I will sell it for $400.00 (02 sensor ready...)

No,the whole exhaust mon ami! I used the 6R headers to do this mod. It ride really good. It comes as is on the pictures. Headers, slip on and O2 sensor ready. (I had to use it for the AutoTune) The only thing for you... I need an exhaust in trade in. Might be expensive to ship your exhaust here ,then pay forshipping back to Paris. We might need to have to work something out... Do you have acces to a fab shop? The map is free by the way...
