R6 Exhaust Marthy Edition

Well there it is, my version of the R6 exhaust for FZ6R. I'm missing few pics here but pretty much I cut the R6 headers right before the secondary pipe. I use a Supertrapp 2" diameter 8" long can (using 6 plates as of right now)

Kind of old school and sound great. I need to figure out how to post a video here...

Supertrapp exhaust: $150.00
R6 heders: $40.00
Collector: $32.00
U pipe: $26.00

So for about 1/4 of the price of a TB I got my exhaust!

For the old schoolers like me that know how a Supertrapp work I tried 12 plates: A bit too loud! 8 plates sound better, but now I'm using 6 plates because that thing is starving for fuel. So I need to choke it up a little.

Now I need to decide if I'm going for the TB Juice box or all in with the PC. I didn't install it but I also have the fitting ready to weld for the O2 sensor. :canada:

That's nice , short and compact , fits the bike well .
I had a Kerker Meg on one of my old rides , was the thing back then .

$248 for parts? Did you think about taking preorders off the forum for say $350+ shipping? Make some $ for labor let's hear it! You can make a short vid clip and email it to me I'll post it on YouTube for the availability?

Good observation here Mate! Got those on ebay for $65.00 a set. Can't beat that! I went to cycle gear to check out the Cortex. Nice saddlebag but a little small. Those have the double zipper like the Cortex and they are expendable 3"
(for 1/2 the price... it's a steal!) I'm not sure if you did notice the little aluminum bracket that I add to support the luggage? I will take few pics later on today and show you.

Supertrapp have a particular sound, only a Supertrapp sound like a Supertrapp. With 6 discs it's not overpowering and it feel like I'm riding a bike now. No more gearbox and chain noise... And the good thing is I haven't found a cager that just sit there next to me taking on the phone. They are annoy by the sound and it's just fine with me!

The thing is time. The parts are cheap but the project is time consuming. Just to bend the R6 exhaust took some time. If some of you are interested of doing something similar with the stock exhaust I can look into it. I can use my stock one as a jig then I might be able to do it for cheap.
