I have alot of friends that ride bikes(R1's GSXR's and a few ZX14's) I'm not going to lie they dogg the crap out of their bikes.. Will the 6R measure up and take a beating? I'm not that smart about bikes honestly, not the brightest on how to keep a bike running at tip top performance so any tips are advised. Alot of the things I see people doing I'm not sure about is keeping the bike at 9 grand alot, Downshifting instead of using breaks, Just typical stuff, Someone give me some motorcycle knowledge!!!! :)

Just change the oil when you should and keep the chain lubed :D and you will be fine! As long as you are not constantly banging off of redline, the bike can take anything you throw at it.

Another thing... use your brakes to slow down, brake pads are cheap, engine/clutch aren't.

Agreed! Get yourself a service manual, I think they're free somewhere or you can buy a CD one for like 5 bucks. I'm going to be printing out the whole thing(free printing in college whoo!) and keeping it in a 500 page binder. If you follow the procedures and take it into the dealer when you don't have the appropriate tools, you'll be fine.
