My name is Connor, I'm from Northeast, CT and I currently design sports video games. If you're interested in a fun baseball or football game check them out at sportsmogul.com!

As for riding, I recently purchased my first bike, which was a 2013 FZ6R (the white with red frame underneath) and I absolutely love it. I'm 23 and decided it was about time I got into the hobby because I love the feeling of just being able to ride and hearing the sound of the engine. I'm still in the learning stages, but have gotten some great advice from users on this site and I'm very thankful for that. I look forward to helping others, as well as being a part of this FZ6R community!

Hey everyone. I'm Ranj and I live in the Greater Toronto area. I just bought a blue 2013 FZ6R. So far I've only added flush mounts and a fender eliminator. Most likely will do exhaust next. Hope to find some useful links thru the forum!

Hi All,
Don here from Black Diamond Washington.
I just bought a 2013 FZ6R in Team Yamaha Blue that had only 1300 miles on it.
I really agonized over either a Ninja 300 or the Yamaha R3, but ended up with the FZ6R. I think I made the right choice.
I just sold my Harley Heritage Softail which was a great cruising bike but way to heavy at almost 800#.
This bike is real nice and the previous owner made a few mods such as fender eliminator and integrated taillight. To be honest I wish it was stock though. Maybe I can find a fender assembly some time
Anyways retired here been riding for 47 years now and still love it.
Glad to have found this site.

Welcome Don, I've just done the fender elimination and integrated tail light on my FZ6R and in my opinion it makes the bike look so much better! I hated the big fender! I'd give you my fender assembly but I'm in SA and I don't think it will be worth the postage for you.

Hi everyone

Im John ,55 years old and had bikes in the 70's and 80,s. Due to family and living style I became a boring 4 wheeler until recently. On my 55th birthday my wife bought me a Yamaha xj6 naked 2009 plate. So after 34 years of no bike I was so excited. I live in Snowdonia national park in Wales so finding an empty spot to refresh my skills was easy. I took it nice and easy and resisted the temptation to open her up and gradually did more and more, little by little.
Full gear, leathers, gloves, boots and dont care what I look like. I would rather sweat than bleed should an incident occur. Done 600 miles so far and loving every second of it.
God bless you all and keep safe.

I posted a thread in the new member section but figured I should chime in here as well, just picked up my 13 two tone white with 3,300 miles 2 days ago. For now she sits in the garage, helmet shows up today, jacket tomorrow and MSF course starts wednesday. Can't wait to get out and ride. I'm an IT specialist and mechanic, but I think the greasemonkey in me always prevails, I've always got some kind of project I'm working on.

Greetings everyone. My name is Frank, or as some call me, Frizz. I have been riding 2+ years now. My first bike is my Honda Magna 750, and I just recently bought a new 2015 FZ6R. It's nice having a cruiser and a sports bike together, as they each offer such a different ride, and experience.

For the 6R I have gotten a new LED taillight with the integrated turn signal, fender eliminator, flush mount front turn signals, and new mirrors. I plan on lowering the front end an inch or so tomorrow (fingers crossed), and after that I'm putting some grip on my tank. Then its time to search the forum for any other mods I's like to try out!

Nice meeting everyone, and I hope to learn a lot here, and help however I can.

So, I picked up a new 2013 (only had 1 mile on it) FZ6R last October from State 8 here in Ohio. It is my first bike ever. Bought it even before I had the MSF class this May because of the great price and hearing how it's a good beginner bike. So, 2500 miles in and really like the FZ6R. Any other riders here in NE Ohio?

Welcome and congrats on the new bike! Jealous that you're able to keep 2 :D Next mod should definitely be a set of sliders (Shogun or T-Rex) and some swing arm spools so that you can clean your chain easily. Enjoy the FZ6R, this bike is so versatile it seems unreal.
