Black is beautiful :)

Nice looking bike and great trailer. Someones gonna have some fun! I'm jealous. Looks like you've got nice weather too.

Did your swingarm and frame come that color, or did you do that? Looks sic. Only one I've seen like that.

Thanks,

The frame and swingarm came PC blue. In 2010 and 2011, they made an SE version. Nothing really 'special edition' about it except: body is white, blue frame, cf exhaust tip, cf heat shield, cf body infill panels, and cnc levers. No performance mods. I chose this one over the 675r next to it, just b/c I liked this color scheme better

All really good points... ^_^

learning to ride, to me, has been very much like learning how to snowboard. I initially can try to do all the right body positioning etc. but, it doesn't really click or make any sense until a certain point where i can "feel" why i should ride a certain way. I can inly conclude that a lot of it is seat time and just repetition until i get more accustomed to the speed and the feeling of being in control and knowing what to do perhaps.

Most ppl i know seem to break thru a lot quicker than me. Im still struggling, and I know I'm a slow learner. so I just take my time and try not to let what my friends do affect me. Yes they've all progressed much further than me in a much shorter amount of time. But they've also taken on much more risks than I'm willing to take. A lot of it didn't end well and they've crashed over and over and had their confidence shattered and still don't know what they did wrong. Yet they still insist that crashing is part of learning etc etc.

I dunno. Maybe it is. But I sure as heck would prefer not to learn that way. x_X

Here is my latest toy I picked up for $3,500:

I've already done the following mods:
  • Sargeant seat with red piping
  • two H4 55-Watt BiXenon HID
  • two H7 55-Watt Xenon HID
  • Pro Taper fat bar risers
  • Pro Taper 1 1/8" Contour Handlebars
  • Heated Grips
  • Removed and capped the air injection

As she sits now, with the LP LED signals, ZX6 mirrors, Targa FE mounted, and lowered an inch in the front. I haven't recieved the clip-ons yet. I can't wait. I hate the handlebars.....

I do actually. And one thing i was taught when i first started was to shift the upper body only, get the knee out, and keep your ass in the middle. That will get you used to moving the upper body over first. Then you can work on getting the butt cheeks off and getting them moved and equal amount.

This is interesting for me to read. When I was just beginning and relying on instinct instead of reading up on form and putting it in to practice, I did this. As I got quicker and realized I should be learning more about how to ride properly, I started reading up on technique in this and other forums. That's how I started hanging off in turns. Since then I've been working on my form all the time and gettting better and better as a rider. I have Twist Of The Wrist II on order right now, because I still have a long way to go.
