MotoGP today (Spoiler Alert!!!!)

Ben Finally wins!!!!!!! I say finally but really it's only his second year and first on a factory bike. So who thinks they should keep those 50th anniversary livery? I like them a lot more than the current one.

Ben started like a scalded rabbit, he just took off, and that was it. I'm pleased that one of my favorite riders in motogp took the win at Assen.

Yeah he didn't just win, he bitch slapped them. I was expecting him to be on the podium more this year (or should I say I wasn't expecting the Hondas to be quite so damn fast) but I wasn't sure if he'd be able to pull out a win. All I can say is next season once he's got more feel for a factory ride and more experience in MotoGP, he's going to be a force to reckon with for these guys.

It's tough because obviously I'm a Yamaha fan, but I really don't like Lorenzo. So I find myself rooting for Spies, Dovizioso, and Hayden of course. I like Edwards but you just don't get to see too much of him. He was incredible last week though. I liked Simoncelli, but the way he's been hacking through people just doesn't sit well. I'm all for aggressive riding, but he's just bee dangerous lately.

Well, I watched the race in my garage (over bbq and weiss bier ) ) with some friends... and when SuperSic crashed out, taking Lorenzo with him everybody cheered ). I like Ben and Marco, both have different talents on the track, but I like them both to win. I think Lorenzo and Stoner are just two big pussies, yes, both are motogp champions... but come on, let's see some fire on the track not on the press conferences.....

I was happy to see Spies get a win! I was freak'n pissed off that Lorenzo was taken out! Lorenzo is my favorite... I think Lorenzo is a great rider with class.. Unlike Rossi who is an arrogant cocky prick! He's doing horrible with Ducati!

I'm definitely a Yamaha Factory fan :thumbup: Hayden, Stoner, Pedrosa, Edwards etc are all great riders... I have respect for all of them. Just can't stand Rossi!

Those damn Honda are fast!!! and yes, I do like the color scheme of the 50th anniversary

...but when do they decide that Simoncelli really is a danger to other riders and kick him the heck out? Am I missing something here? Trend analysis is a powerful tool.

I've been cheering for Spies all season (American riding a blue Yamaha) and it was nice to finally see him catch a break.

Simoncelli is a rider, he wants to win, there's nothing wrong with that. Just watch Kevin Schwantz and Wayne Rainey go at it, you'll understand. MotoGP isn't for boys, but for real men.

I liked Lorenzo at first but 2 things kind of pissed me off last season. First when Rossi, who I'm not a fan of either, passed him cleanly last year (Can't remember the track) and he bitched and complained about it because he panicked and ran wide into the dirt. Claimed Rossi took him out. Then his completely over the top, celebrations just drive me nuts. Win with class. Do a burn out if you must, show some excitement, but some of the crap he did after winning races last year was just stupid to me.

Lorenzo suffers a case of VR46 as Max Biaggi, if you seen he movie Faster you know exactly what I'm talking about. To few real men in motoGP today as Colin Edwards said with other words few weeks ago in a press conference.

agree Simoncelli has caused another rider to go down now couple times cause they've been at the wrong place wrong time, it's racing.

if you watched the BBC coverage of the race, they showed ben going thru some turns in slow mo and you could tell he was really dialed into the bike for that race.

rossi on the duc is new, and they also just changed bike configs again on him. prob mostly getting the new settings per track this year, if he clicks with the duc tho he might be a serious threat next year. still this year he's doing ok in points while not doing a major title chase

That race was in Japan and watching those two go at it made (for me anyway) the best MotoGP race of the year. Absolutly loved it when Rossi beat him. I'm with you can't stand Lorenzo's bs after a win. Was nice to see Spies get a win.
