just bought a 170/60/17 bridgestone BT016 AND 120/70/17 Bridgestone S20 as a replacement for my stock tires.
let's see if there's any different from the stock BT021 on 160s.
16500KM on the stock tires with 70% highways/city, and rest mostly on off-ramps.
planning my first track day...
Would Rapid Red / White look good with gold rims? I've got the stock black rims with the red stripe right now.
Also, are there any pics for this model with the side sticker removed? Eh, it looks unbalanced with a plain white fairing, nevermind.
Er, I photoshopped it myself for the rims:
Since I'm going to be more then likely getting an fz6r here by next weekend. I want to learn what I can before hand. I'm not one to keep a bike with stock exhaust.... So been reading around. And a cheaper option I found to ditch the stock one is this one FZ6R XJ6 2009-2014 Full System Stainless...
If you've replaced your stock fork springs, the old ones are just lying around collecting dust, and you wouldn't mind getting rid of them cheap <---(key word), I'd be interested in taking them off your hands for a project I have in mind. They need to be off a 2008-2010 FZ6R and in decent shape...
I did the streetfighter thing while my arms were broken. Didn't like the look as much as I thought I would so I peeled the dip and returned to stock. The feel of the clip-ons was awesome though :D I'd like to sell everything as a "kit" but I'll sell separately if I have to.
Dominator...
a short clip of my fz6r with some little mods.
bought the fz6r stock last summer, and really like the way the bike looks and sounds now.

the one thing I dislike on the fz6r is that those bulky amber lights front and back, especially the front ones and I'm not a fan of flush mounts, so with little bit of hardware, i DIY my own front signal mount :o, seems ok.
and 4 extra stock signal harness kits so no wire cutting, nice and...
Hey fellas, I just picked up a 2009 fz6r and the previous owner had it stripped naked, I have all the parts , brackets and plastic but I just can not figure out how to put them back together.
Now few things I should mention. The stock bars are replaced with renthal bars, really comfy, I love...
After purchasing my FZ6R in November, I have already made quite a few aftermarket modifications and still waiting for more 6R parts in the mail. My question to you guys/gals is, what do you do with your swapped parts?! I doubt I will ever go back to stock, but don't want to throw away perfectly...
2009 Cadmium Yellow FZ6R, one owner bike and has always been garage stored. Excellent condition, and I bought it brand new, all miles have been put on by me (6,1XX miles). Never wrecked never done wheelies, never laid down or dropped. Has Yamaha factory extended warranty still in effect...
Has anybody replaced their stock handlebar mounts for something shorter?
I found these:
Universial Motorcycle Bar Handlebar Mounts Riser Clamp 7 8" Standard | eBay
Thinking about trying these out, they are 22mm tall. which is significant decrease in the stock mounts.
WOW this is neat! Danmoto muffler with a valve you can open and close to make your bike louder or softer. At $130 with the muffler included it seems like a deal.
I want one... but I don't like the looks of it and think it's too big for under the bike. Anyone running a Danmoto Carbon GP...
Tweaked the bike two weeks after I bought it because I was getting sore thumbs and hands. The culprit was the stock angle of the brake and clutch levers being far too high. If you too are experiencing sore thumb joints and hand cramps I strongly recommend this fix.
Basically rotate your brake...
i tried search for it, but couldn't find anything.
:o last year i flipped my handlebar around for a more aggressive ride but i forgot to mark the factory stock position, it's back to "stock" this season at a somewhat comfortable upright setting for me, but i feel like it's off by few degrees...
As the title says, I am ready to replace the stock exhaust and upgrade to a more pleasant sound. I've gone through the threads and everybody praises Marthy's, but on his page everything is out of stock and I read somewhere that he isn't really doing this anymore.
That leaves me basically two...
