One has to ask, if it was the car closest to him rather than the limo several cars ahead that slammed on the brakes, what would he have done.
Tailgating is tailgating. Limo guy is a douchebag for failing to signal and stopping on a freeway (likely be done for obstruction on a roadway) but the...
So no one here has seen the study that was published by a guy wanting to find out if wd40 affected o-rings?
I'll hunt it out for you. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=345397

I've had 42 miles out of reserve but wouldn't take it much more than that. Pretty sure I was 16+ litres on that fill.
Love the epic failing at the beginning of the thread confusing a count up for a count down. :)
Oof! And to think I was considering a jet style open faced helmet for the summer.
Warning:graphic images. Suggest you read the description of the video though and then decide if you wish to watch the video.

Speaking as a driver who occasionally gets blinded by caring understanding nineties types.
With only your stupid bright light as a reference point as to where the road is, guess what I'd be aiming my 2 tonne of rolling metal at until I think I'm close enough to pass down the side of it?
Be sure to measure it right too.
On the European and Australian XJ6 series of bikes with the center stand that comes as standard with the bike the manual says you must measure chain slack whilst using the centre stand. On the fz6r I'm pretty sure it says side stand.
A side stand measure loads...
Read the can. Pretty sure slime says maximum of 50mph for a few miles. I.e. get you home/to a garage.
A mushroom plug kit, while debatable on safety (i know folk who've ridden for years on them) is craptons more reliable than the sealant you've just used that can corrode your rims if left in...
You can do it using string and a knot. Just damned if I can remember how.
http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/howto/string_align_motorcycle_wheels/ seems to indicate how to do it though.
Not risky at all providing drivers know that it happens.
Fact is that rider would have been eyeing you up (or should have) from a ways back. Yeah you can get clobbered but its not that common.
One thing I will say over here in the UK is that we filter a lot slower than the YouTube vids show...
Depends on where you want to practice too. My electric guitar I love to play, but the tones do travel through walls relatively easily, granted I could plug in headphones and do it that way but either way my neighbours complain much less when I'm playing on my acoustic.
Oh and be aware if you...
Depends what you want.
Me... I'm 3 years in and only have a 12v socket, heated clothing (not really a bike mod) plus rear rack and topbox mod wise.
Am I concerned about frame sliders? Not particularly, they detract from the look of the bike and are only useful in a low speed off. I'll save the...
I just took it easy for the first 100 miles. As for it being a myth, there are a fair few YouTube vids that suggest otherwise and also just for appearances sake, compared to new my tyres are a lot more matt/textured now after a few thousand miles.
If I wear my summer textiles its either boxers or thermal long johns, my others are proper over trousers so I wear whatever I want to wear when I get some place, sometimes it's a full business suit when commuting to work, others its just jeans and a t shirt.
Occasionally I wear extra armour...
Sorted out luggage for mine, then after almost getting frostbite riding in -2 centigrade with summer gloves I sorted myself out with some heated clothing, got myself a bodywarmer and inner gloves along with a heat controller, just need to wire them up and I'm good to carry on riding,
R&G are top stuff over here in the UK but they're not no-cut. They require a hole saw drill bit. At least if they're anything like the XJ6-s ones.
In fact I think it's only really America that appears to really do no-cut frame sliders, they're hard to get hold of over here. :(
If its a 40 rider group you have to have the patience and presence of mind to share the road with the cars. Trying to stay as a solid column of 40+ bikes is just going to cause hell and piss everyone off.
When I ride we either follow 2 methods.
1. Keep the rider behind you in your mirrors, it...
