and just changed jobs! got an awesome offer with a heap of money and the hours worked in the day, only catch it shift work, but I can pick kiddies up from School now so that's a plus!

Now a Maintenance Sparkie at Australia's largest chicken processing plant, another steep learning curve in fault finding and quick fixes until lines stop running, and seen a lot in the past three days I had no idea about! Boss seems to be a cool and easy going bloke so all in all a good move!

That's awesome!!! now I have someone to talk to about crap at work... lol
what school did you go to for piping? its almost impossible to find formal training in the states for this now. you either pick it up or you don't.

I also used AutoCAD, PDMS, Solidworks, CADworx, took an inventor class years ago have never used it in the office other than import export for other softwares

I currently concentrate in Oil and gas for domestic and overseas projects

my previous employments I did the same + food and beverage had a great time working on prune & raisin plants potato plant, fertilizer trailers, carrots, pistachios, blueberry juice plant. it was fun but oil and gas is my strong suit I have roughly 10 years experience
Didn't realise you replied to my post lol

Yeah man hit me up!

There are a lot of jobs going here lately that require Inventor, I don't know why that is but it's all you see on job classifieds.

I went to the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology aka RMIT, I don't know if the course still runs now days, but back then we were like the second intake of students. I actually travelled to Houston TX back in 2010 for a CAD Worx seminar and I realised the lack of such training.

Sounds like you've done a bit of everything, just like me lol

Though I'd love to get back into Oil and Gas BAD!!!!

...moving up in the world. Got hired as a firefighter in a small outlying municipality, part time only. Left the tire shop and am training to move up to full time in the central department in town. It's going well so far. It's a heck of a lot more exciting than selling tires and something I have always wanted to do.

Ditto====My last day was Monday. No more BS from the boss. I run things now and it feels goooooooood!
Congratulations! I've been retired now for a little over three years and I can tell you the it's everything it's cracked up to be. I was in IT for 40 years, always working to a project workplan. Now I have Montessori syndrome ("Do I really have to do what I want to again today??)

Enjoy your retirement ... you've earned it!
