did somethin stupid... while changing the oil i over torqued the drain plug a bit too much and cracked the pan slightly:wtfgun:.... crapped my pants for a minute or two and then said screw it and took it apart. all in all its an easy project to do, as long as youve got someone to weld aluminium. guy down the street did it for $40, which i cant complain about for him dropping what he was doing at closing time none the less..now ive gotta say i am a mechanic and have not ever once cracked a pan from tightening a drain plug..better on something that i own than a customers. good news is, for 8k on the odometer the internals looked great

Cleaned and lubed mine too! Especially after the rain we rode through yesterday. Also did the front led strips.. It was easy like you said.. One I had before was just faulty because this one works great!

looks great, I don't know how you got those black ones to bend in the right direction there. I wound up using the clear a little more inside and running the wire through the scoop because they bent in the right direction if you know what I mean. Anyway looks good, certainly visible which is never a bad thing!
Looks clean! Only thing I would have done dif is to run the wire the in inside of the fake air scoop

I added on about 6 inches of some thick *** speaker wire I think, or that might have been the flush mounts. But I added extensions to something lol. Plus adding thicker wire made it a little easier to work with. I also used a tiny bit of outdoor double sided tape to put underneath to keep the ends of the strips down. Id like to see you me and JT riding down the road together. would look like Christmas with all the lights we have!

I have got the MRA Vario touring screen on mine (from Twisted Throttle) and recently ran into the same problem after installing the Powermadd hand guards (in either configurations). In my case, the handguards hit the shield only at the two extremes, turning all the way left or right. One problem with this setup is that locking the handlebars becomes a daunting task. Other than that, I am quite pleased with my oxford heaterz and handguards combo so far.:steve:
One possible fix to this problem could be the handlebar risers; I think 1" rise and 1" pullback might just do the trick.

FYI the female adapters fit okay. The bolt on the right side is not a standard hexagon shape so the fit isn't as secure as I would like. The left side works perfectly. I'll try to add a pic. Expensive miscalculation, will use for now and check if Yamaha can change that bolt out.
