What did you do to your bike today?

So is that a straight swap of parts or is there machining, cutting & shutting involved?

Very minimal machining to fit the 6R timing gear on the FZ6 cams. But I think you can fit the FZ6 cams gear if you change the chain and crank gear. It's an easy job if you are mechanically incline. But it a B$%^ to get it right. The cams need to be time a certain way and the timing mark on the gear... not there!

I pull out a 8 hrs on it last night. It's one of those things that it can take few shot before you get there. Cams are in, valves adjusted (pretty much spot on) and cams timed!

All I need to do today is put it back together, install the MAP sensor then load the map. Voila!

Well... Wasn't my bike but cams swap is about 1/2 done. I pull a late evening today, a couple more hours to reconnect everything and the boke should be up and running tomorrow!!!

Mr. Ken. Can't remember his screen name to be honest. It's going to be a fast ride... with 30K+ miles less than mine! Not sure yellow will be the fastest anymore... might have to step it up! LOL

Step it up sound more like removing the 6R and replacing it with a 1!!!

With thunderstorms predicted for Tomorrow and Thursday I believe, I enjoyed my 3rd day of the year riding to work. Riding on the Mich. Pilot Road 3s. LOVE these tires!!! Very inspiring in the corners. Only have about 3/4-1" of chicken stripes left on the corners now after only 300 miles. But dont think I will be able to reduce those any because looking at the curviture of the tire, that would be one extreme lean I dont see myself making.
Also got used to the Braided Steel Front AND Back brake lines.. VERY NICE!! no more spongy feel.

Congrats!!! Like how you have your garage door opener?? mounted. I have mine in my riding pants pocket so when get close I use my left hand to find and push the button through the pocket of the over pants.. You remove that when it is supposed to rain or how do you deal with rainy wx? Thought about FlashtoPass but not sure I want to do that for is it Really worth the $?

You guys are just getting into your riding season while I'm having to reduce my riding only to coastal riding for the next month or better. It has officially become Love Bug season which is not a good time for bikers at all... Unless I go out when the sun isn't up.

So yeah, I had to cancel next weekends trip to sebring as the bugs would be murder going there... I'm hoping they will be gone by June 8th as that is the next event that I know of at Sebring Raceway.

I need to make a bubble to go around the bike to allow me to be able to ride during the time of year. I should also have massive tears offs so that I can just toss them after each ride, lol.

Yep, garage door opener. One button for each of my garage doors, and one for a rental property I have. Mounted with heavy duty Velcro... works great... If it starts raining, it pulls off.

I've driven through the love-bug plague a few times over the years... Typically have to pull over every couple of miles to clear off the windshield *by hand*... the wipers can't keep up... Can't imagine going through that on a bike.

new additions

Cleaned and lubed my chain, changed the oil and lubed the cables for the first time on my own. I have now spent a few days trying to figure out how to mount the Banshee horn system. I finally got it mounted but it isn't working. So now I need to double check the fuses and wiring. I was going to mount my t-rex frame sliders but the bolts felt so tight, I thought I was going to mess up my threads. So I am holding off on that for a bit until I know for sure. Installed a D/C socket for charging my phone on the go. Installed a mini atm fuse block for all my accessories that I am adding.

Took her for a small ride around town, then rode her to some work partner's house and worked on a cartoon that we just started working on. I'll be doing voice work. Pretty excited for this new project!

Cam swap done, bike ready! Now working on carbon can and FZ8 headers today... can't wait to have few minutes so I can instal my new chain and sprockets!!!
