Negative. I actually live in the area that 867 is the primary phone code or whatever(forgive me I'm a little tipsy). One of these days I'll actually call that number to see what happens.

I guess a few years ago...more than I want to count... when the song was quite popular,people were calling that number all the time driving the person whio had it nuts. It got so bad that they did have to change their phone number. Nasty.... are suggesting that I am old????

It's easy enough to set up a free Google Voice number to receive texts and messages when you're selling something, then stop using it and it eventually gets put back into the number pool. I have done this a few times. That way I have no concerns about my privacy because nobody has a number that I really answer, it's just forwarded or maybe just a voicemail box.

As for 867-5309, most phone companies have had that one on their "do not issue" list for years. You can't be assigned it, and they won't let you have it if you ask for it. There may be some people who had it years ago and still do, but for the most part it's been permanently retired. There are a few others like that, mostly because of media exposure of one sort or another.

Back before the internet (yikes!) me and my buds talked a lot about calling that number. But without an area code, it was all talk. I always wondered what it was like for the poor soul who had that number in real life, lol.
