On the dyno you could see that from 8000 to 11500 is where it all happen! But with the Acc. Pump if you hammer it at 7500... it all come together pretty quick! And up it goes...Seems to be doing well. 50 miles on the tank I filled up last night as I pulled into the driveway and the gas gauge is only 1/3 of the way down. Good sign so far. As for the power with the new maps, it's really much better. Smoother on the bottom and some insane pull when you need it.
CAUTION - If you're not an experienced rider, do not used the Expert settings on the accelerator pump settings. It snaps hard when it kicks in. And if you hit it merging on the freeway and you don't know what to expect, you can get yourself into trouble really quick, both in danger and in trouble the any law enforcement that may be in the area. 3rd gear getting on the freeway to merge and you can end up at 90mph really quick catching cars in front of you that you never thought you would. Not to mention your front tire may part company with the road. I pulled a bit of a power wheelie this morning getting on the freeway (yes that ramp was completely clear of traffic, I just wanted to feel where the power was hitting with this map now) Just be careful. These maps and exhaust really do change the way the bike rides quite a bit. Not that you're suddenly on a 140hp supersport, but many riders on here have never felt anything more than the slow spooling, 65hp and boggy bottom end and mid range that the bike has in stock form and that feature on the PCV really changes the feel of this bike.

After a couple of days I'm loving the power. The fuel milage still leaves a little to be desired. I think I'm going to put the touring map in for weekly commuting and put the sport map in for weekend canyon carving. I'm assuming there's no harm in switching maps back and forth just like adjusting tire pressure to match riding conditions.

Back in the old carburator days, everytime you hit the throttle in your cager there was a little squirt of gas coming out. This is what we call an Acceleration Pump. So now on our bike (fuel injection) the A/P give you a set amount of gas, for a set amount of rev, for a set amount of throttle input. I say "set amount" because... you can set the value
So by example in the Expert setting,
75% throttle
30 Rev
20% Fuel
So with 75% throttle increase, you get +20% of gas for 30 RPM. Doesn't sound like much, but it seriously get things going...
Those setting on a R1 will give you a one way ticket to the closest ER within the first 15 minutes of riding. On a under power/ overweight bike... it's still manageable and get things a little bit more interesting. :wav:
NOP! I will suggest you to go the PCV route. It worth the few $$$ extra. JB Pro... not sure there, might have to ask them. I heard there is a very good PCV map available... lol We really need to find someone with a TB exhaust to try it.
Put my TBR exhaust on three days ago, my JB Pro arrives tomorrow. I am willing to experiment a little. As far as the JB Pro question, I am 99% sure it does the same thing. In fact, as I mentioned in another post, you can use PCV maps on the JB Pro, 100% compatible. Same exact excel style map....throttle across the top, RPMs down the side and you can adjust the % change in fuel in each cell. In fact, if you down load the TBR map, and the PCV map from their respective websites, and compare, (which I did), they are EXACTLY identical across the whole spectrum.
I will be very curious to try some of Marthy's maps and compare it to what TBR/PC has come up with!!! If JB arrives tomorrow, its going on tomorrow. More to come........

So, they should both be here on wed or thurs. That'll give me something to work on while you upgrade my exhaust to the "Marthy Viper" Terence
That would be yours my friend! I think your headers is in town, just not here yet. I did place the order for the Viper can on Saturday, I might have to wait for the can before sending it to you. I wasn't expecting your headers to be here so quickly. Make sure you hook up everything with the PCV. Gear/speed sensor, Water temps and map switch. Just get a regular on/off switch from any boat store (better and usually water proof) Let me know when you're ready to load maps... RevC (Customer) is about ready. Right on! I'm sure I'll know what you mean with a regular on/off switch to the PCV once I get the commander and install it. Did you mount the switch to the bike's body? I think I read you have your PCV in the passenger seat... but I'm still reading up on it, learning and prepping for it haha fun, but time consuming!
I install mine as shown in the instruction. You need to connect your USB cable to it to do any change. Not very convenient under the seat... I'm just going to drill a hole thru the plastic close to the speedometer area and install the map switch there, should be good enough. You can get the PCV one that mount directly to the handlebar. But I don't want it there... Not something I'm going to mess with all the time. I'm either going to use map1 or map2. I will post a pic when I'm all done with it.
