Hey Ontarians,
Anyone know where you can get no-cut frame sliders for the FZ6R in Canada? I don't want to order from the U.S. I've been stung by a customs broker before and I'm afraid I'll get a big bill after I receive the sliders.
Unless of course someone has purchased from a U.S. vendor and didn't get a bill after the fact.

Chucker:: I generally find that if I get stuff from the States (just got a new Yamaha Tank Bag) and had it shipped USPS it comes to my door with no money oweing.

As long as it comes via USPS, you won't have any brokerage fees as they have their own customs clearing team. UPS/Fedex/Others sub-contract the customs clearing to a 3rd party broker, so they have to recoup the costs by passing on "brokerage" fees

Brought the bike home on Tuesday, so far just the ride back from the dealership but hopefully changing that in 30 mins

Edit: I was reading a few pages back and I thought I would share my experience with importing my FZ6R. There seems to be alot of people who are well aware of the difference in price south of the border. I was one of them, so I decided to buy mine in the US. First thing I would like to make clear is there was really no "hassle" getting it into the country. I had the bike home Wed Apr. 27 at about 11:30 pm and it was insured, licensed, plated in Ontario by 3:00 pm on Fri. Apr. 29. I also worked 7-3 on Thurs. and 6-1 on Fri. There is also no duty on motorcycles and the dollar right now is in our favour. The hardest thing was finding a dealer who would sell to me. (they are not supposed to sell brand new bikes for export) So long story short (sort of), I bought a brand new 2010 for $5799 USD. Not too bad of a price, they are selling the 2011 where I bought mine for $6599!!!!! Up here that bike is $8899. Apparently the only reason prices are higher in Canada is because most people will pay because we've grown up thinking we should pay more. This process was so easy I wouldn't hesitate at all to do it again.

Anyone interested in the 07-08 ZX6R mirrors that bolt right up to our bikes? I have a set that I'll let go for $20. I live downtown Toronto and work near the Scarborough Town Centre if anyone is interested.
