How many miles on your bike?

I did my spark plugs at 12k miles and they were fine. Didn't really need to replace them and I haven't done so since (around 25k now). Plus, I put in the iridium plugs, which are suppose to last longer. Here's my how-to thread and info if your interested: http://www.600cc.org/forum/f88/spark-plugs-18643/

Maintenance on these bikes is a piece of cake. I ride mine like it was stolen and have had to do next to nothing! Love it.....

I have 8900 miles on my baby now, and when I purchased her she had I believe 4800 last march. Put alot of miles on her! I think I am going to change out my coolant, and have the throttle bodies synced, and I think maybe I should change the oil again even though I have amsoil I still think I should change it fairly often, IDK.

whats all involved in the 8k service, im at work and dont have the manual to look at but you peaked my curiousity as Im passed 8k  uh oh

 782 miles over...why?

the rep at my dealership said 8k is premature for replacing plugs as yamaha uses top of the line iridium plugs as is on the bike to begin with.

rook ur such a slut! hahaha

and yeah I will, I have amsoil in there now and did it 3k ago...trying to decide if I run it longer beings its amsoil or to say screw it and shell out another $60 in oil on the bike and change it up.

Im going to change the coolant to engine ice next week, when do you adjust throttle bodies? I havent done that yet myself....

I thought it was every 3k miles for service '>.> i guess i have 1400 to go till my next one instead of 400 lol

Only way to tell is to have an oil analysis done on it... Get a sample of your oil and send it to Blackstone Labs

They will tell you how it looks and if there is any metal wear, coolant, gas, etc in the oil... And if you can go longer or not. You can then get a pinpoint on how long you can go before changes!

Pretty cheap too and well worth the knowing.
