Hello all. I purchased a 2012 FZ6R back in August. It had 6400 miles and I paid $3200 for it. I found it on FB Marketplace and it had been on there for almost a year. The owner used it as a sport touring bike and had saddle bags on it (currently for sale on Marketplace.) I am attempting to turn it into a full sport bike. I have already removed the saddle bags, replaced the stock front turn signals with flush mount turn signals, replaced the rear tail light and turn signals with a Motodynamic integrated tail light that I found used on eBay for $35, I have a cheap tail tidy in the pics but I've since added a correct tail tidy made for a XJ6, I have Driven Halo 2.5" rider clip on handlebars with Domino sport touring grips, MZS shorty levers, Ninja 300 mirrors, a 12 piece LED underglow lighting kit, and some different graphics. For performance I have a custom exhaust setup that is Delkevic headers, a 2" 45 degree elbow, and a cheap shorty slip on muffler (this thing screams and shoots flames like crazy), I have also done the 4 degree timing advance rotor that I purchased on eBay from CCDF, and I have a Power Commander FC that I have 4 different tunes on. I have not taken it out since adding the Power Commander and timing advance since the weather has been crappy latelt. Looking forward to my next ride!
Hoping to learn more about this bike from some of you all. I wanted this bike for more than 2 years before buying one. To me it's the best looking and most comfortable bike I've ever been on.
Here's some pics of my 5 months of owning the FZ6R. The first is how it was when I bought it. The last is the most recent.

Congrats on the new ride. Nice looking bike. Depending on what kind of riding you do, you may want to consider stainless steel brake lines and some suspension mods. I found my bike wallowed through the twisties and never felt planted to the road. But then I weigh 195lbs and the bike was designed for a much lighter person, so there's that. Anyway, enjoy the ride and be safe!
