Take a minute and look and the XD.9 its a solid pistol and I got the sub compact for CCW.

Can't go wrong with the XD series. Torture tested mine, shot over a thousand rounds with mixed ammo. Any, and all failures were with shitty ammo. (3 failures to fire from steel cased shit ammo.) And every round cycled perfectly. No cleanings in between btw. I hear the XDs is just as good, i don't have any experience with it though.

Hmm ill consider the XDs. I know they are pretty popular. Btw to my knowledge the issue with the recall on the shields, was that the safety trigger(device that reset the safety on the trigger) would sometimes get sticky over time, which could potentially make the gun act as if there were just a standard trigger.

Im really looking for a gun no larger than the shield, its currently almost pocket carry sized, cargo pants or etc, anything larger and I would not enjoy carrying it every day, and therefor not actually carry it every day.

Edit: Looked at the XDs, going to require more research. Remarkably similar guns.

Between S&W, Springfield, and Glock, theyre all pretty much going to look similar and have the same reliability. It just comes down to what feels more comfortable. Ruger also has a slimline 9mm, the LC9, Taurus has the 709. For the slightly smaller 9s, Sig has the 938 and Kimber has the Solo, but those are both more 1911 style compared to the others.

If I get annoying with too much info, just yell at me. Selling guns was my living for years.

To me a carry gun should be a revolver... Always thinking what if I pull the semi and it jammed,do I have 1 in the tube,safety on? A lot to think about when you have a split second to figure it out...when I do carry the glock 20c the mag with the round nose goes in,and 1 in the tube...ruger sp 101 .357 with black talons is my normal carry...

The XD subcompact is identical just has shorter grip handle/ grip but it's very convenient that they provide two magazines one with an extended grip I love my XD I'm sure I've done over 1000 rounds I've let friend shoot at least another 100 I've had no jams nor misfires of any sort I clean once a month maybe and use same brand of amo every time

The XD subcompact is identical just has shorter grip handle/ grip but it's very convenient that they provide two magazines one with an extended grip I love my XD I'm sure I've done over 1000 rounds I've let friend shoot at least another 100 I've had no jams nor misfires of any sort I clean once a month maybe and use same brand of amo every time

I have a Beretta 92FS, M&P 22, M&P 40 & XDM 40 Compact.

I am keeping my Beretta just because.
Keeping my MP22 because it is a NICE 22 for plinking very reliable
Keeping my XDM Compact 40 VERY VERY Accurate _just wish it was the subcompact instead.

The M&P40 I am actually considering selling. I paid $469 for it brand new and it only has maybe 100 rounds through it. I love the feel of it, but on further thought I dont think I need 2 40's. Being that they are now selling locally for about $589, I think I might be able to get close to what I paid for it. I could then use that $ to pay down 1 bill. Or just keep it for another year or two and see what happens with price - if it goes up more and could guarantee me what I pd for it!

Just added a new one to my collection. Kahr PM40 put on layaway at Gander last Saturday. Plan on paying off next check, then put a laser sight on wish list. Nice pocket pistol should be more likely to carry than my current xdm 3.8. The pm40 feels just like my phone in the pocket.

PM90 is pretty small. Definitely smaller than my Glock 30 .45acp which is my normal carry gun (when I carry). None of my other handguns are concealable (not easily). Don't think I'm gonna hide my Ruger Super Black Hawk .44 Mag in the back of my pant (7.5" barrel). I have a bunch of guns (mostly hunting) and have shot tons of firearms over the years and don't really like anything much smaller than my glock for reliable/accurate shooting. 25 yards and under I am deadly accurate with the Glock. Never was a fan of Glock until I bought one and I love that thing. Had a few other .45's and sold them all except my baby.
