Frame Sliders

Has everyone agreed on what no-cut frame sliders to get for the FZ6R?
There seems to be several options and several prices now. There are no cut sliders on ebay from $50 to $105.

$50 model must be delrin?

The Shogun link claims there material is more then just delrin:

Comparison Table for Plastics.

Delrin is more expensive, the $50 ones are probably something else.... though this site says some manufacturers may pick something other than Delrin for some specific spec, looks to me like the delrin is stronger than UHMW, so Shogun probably picked it because it cheaper... not necessarily better than Delrin..

I deal with plastics for a living. Delrin is an expensive plastic. UHMW is much cheaper and in 99% of the applications where people want Delrin because of it's strength and "slippery" characteristics, i.e. for something like a bushing or a barrier or a slider for that matter, UHMW will handle the application just fine. In many cases batter. In fact we've run into products that claim they use Delrin when they really used UHMW instead because of the cost. Those frame sliders that Intuitive makes, even if they're machined out of Delrin, can't cost more than about $10 for them to make. Selling them for $100+ is just ridiculous. It's only because they were the first to have no cuts for this bike. Look at no cuts for any other common bike, $30-$40 is pretty standard and at that they're still making a killing on them. There's no real reason to buy the Intuitive anymore unless you like spending more money than you need to.

The description says "aluminum inserts", and aluminum offset brackets. Not all aluminum.....right? They look good and price is right!

Ebay Sliders

I got the frame sliders from Ebay and they seem to be nice quality. My GF has the shogun ones and they seem to be close in build quality. The price is also nice I installed mine yesterday

Are you sure it's solid aluminum? Like joloy133 saids, the description reads aluminum inserts with a solid alum bracket. And other than the bolts, they look the same to me.

Anyway, please let me know how they fit once they arrive to you!

Anyone try the new T-Rex sliders? Looks like they went up in price to $60. Just wondering if they are any easier to install than the last report on them? I'd like to get a set delivered/installed by this weekend along with installing my new multi-vex mirrors.

Also, do the T-Rex sliders come with Lock-Tite and all or do I need to buy that separate?

Hey Guys: After some research, I found 1 company only that makes the complete set of sliders. It's called evotech out of the UK. (where this bike is extremely popular) There is 1 US distributer out of Cape Coral Fla. Mine are on their way as We speak. Ron

got my sliders today and hd them installed in 10 minutes.

seems good quality for $50

good instructions even what size sockets u need to use....

glad i never spent over $100 for brand name ones
