for the gun folk

its not exactly the smartest thing to boast or let the public know you have firearms in your home, everything you do on the internet location can be traced...just be careful.

Truer words were never spoken......I had a chronograph with lights setup for indoor use to chrono my airsoft rifles in the living room before I went to go play. I modify my airsoft rifles and make sure they are within the FPS limit before taking them to the field. Had a Police officer respond to a call about kids destroying the fence out front and they saw the chronograph. Well about 30 minutes later I had 3 FBI agents at my door wanting to know what I was doing with a chronograph in my living room. They ended up searching the house and checked out 6 rifles and 4 pistols. They are all airsoft w/o the orange tips that I use only at legal airsoft fields. They told me the airsoft guns were very cool and totally realistic.

You cannot trust the Police or the Feds...They are not on your side and will try to do what they can to take away your 2nd amendment rights.
Since I only have a ton of airsoft rifles and pistols, I have nothing they are interested in.

OMG! I cannot believe they sent someone out to check out everything in your home. California is obviously way different than the states that I have lived in. Guns are a way of life and are in about every home here. We still have people that walk around with 'open carry' and a huge amount of CCW permits too.

Great thread guys.
I forgot who it was who said this, but it always stuck in my mind... "An armed society is a polite society."

I disagree with some of the above statements. Police are not attempting to strip citizens of their rights. You have to understand the position of a Police Officer. Most criminals he comes across would love to take his badge along with his life. Most officers take Constitutional rights very seriously. If nobody has paid attention to officer down stats lately, check them out. Never before in the history of policing has gunfire been the #1 cause of death....in 2010 it was, by an overwhelming percentage. I am a huge gun rights advocate and most all police officers are as well. I believe every citizen (that actually has knowledge about firearms) should carry a firearm, because all these little thugs will think twice before they try to make a buck to buy some dope.

Bottom line, don't blame the police for attempting to take away gun rights. Blame our current President and his liberal partners in the federal government. Blame all the criminals that elected this President into office...do some research. The Police are here for the people, to protect our constitution. To protect the innocent/weak from ruthless criminals that will kill an officer in the blink of an eye so he cant go to his family at night. It is hard for an officer to protect constitutional rights when laws continue to change because our Socialist President does not want the people to have any rights at all. He wants the people to be 100% dependent on the federal government.

Yes there are bad police officers in policing, and the media gives officers a bad name. But it is just like any other honorable profession. There are bad soldiers, preachers, teachers and doctors....just the way the world is.

Just dont blame police for something they took an oath to protect.

Well said.:)

Apparently we need ten letters to post a thread!

Nice AR. Try MagPul followers in your magazines, they really work well and cut down on magazine caused stopages.

I agree. hard to get into my safe past my dog and hopefully me. if they do that they can have them LOL

As someone who lives in a country which knee jerks in response to public pressure, where friends of mine have to go abroad to train for air pistol competitions and pistols must have a barrel no shorter than 3 feet.

Anti gun folk are crazy.

It's a lack of education, granted I see no reason why the public should ever own a handgun except for competition reasons (home defence should be a shotgun, preferably packed with 1 non lethal and 1 lethal round).

The only people these extreme gun laws stop are law abiding ones. :/

That said some people should never be trusted with a fire arm. I've been a range officer and seen my share of looking down the barrel or turners "it only went click".

Regulation is fine, check people out and check out their security but prohibition sucks.

P.S. You all shoot toy rifles :p wheres the canvas jackets, slings and long barrels? :) target rifle ftw!
