8 miles to go to 1000. End of break-in. That's exciting!

I'm still in the break in, but I had to test this thing. I ripped it to 11k in 1st and I was pleasantly surprised, then promptly slowed down as I was way above the speed limit lol. I've been over the 5800RPM range quite a bit on it actually.
I thought break in was only 600 miles?? Or when I bought my bike thats what the guy at the yamaha shop said
First service is at 600. Keep it under 5800 rpm till 600. Then under 7000 rpm till 1000. Then you can ride normal.
Not really.....
It says not to operate for extended periods of time over those RPMs until 1000.

Yep, your kidding yourself if you think the mechanic who took her out for a spin for the "test" ride didn't open her all the way up through most of the gears....
I was revving up from day 1, just not extended use and NEVER ever until after 10-20 minutes of normal warm up... I've got over 9k miles on there now and don't have any issues.
Interesting reading on the break-in. What do you think?
I am almost at my 1000 KM. Maybe this way would have been better.
