You can also lower the front using these Yamaha Suspension :: Motorcycle Steering :: Progressive Suspension I have seen them on ebay for about $110 and it eliminates the bottoming out issue mentioned earlier. I cannot recall any post about them, but surely someone here has used them

Marthy you are definitely the performance guru of the FZ6R, but K and N does advertise their filter as designed to "increase horsepower and acceleration" . I have no idea if it really does or not but they claim it to be. Thoughts ?

Also make sure after you shift the lever goes back to center (or down I guess). As Marthy said its like a ratchet and it needs to come back down and sort of reset or you cannot get the next gear. Hope this makes sense.

Once you get used to the speed the interstate will be a piece of cake. I actually feel more safe on the interstate than some 4 or 6 lane roads around town. Get cut-off and not noticed more around town than the interstate.
