I have sucked in jst abot every bug you can think of that flies.... and even a bird. Just got back from a little 3100 mile tour with the wife, and even she got the oppertunity to eat a few.
It happens, squish first...... pull over andremove quickly, You will get used to it lol!
As far as I can tell the d-bags were the ones who were f-ing with the cage. Seems the guy tried to get them to leave him alone, they should have had wrecked. Maybe if the riders were resonable, or at least attempting to act like they were not a-holes I wouldn't have felt like they should have...
Love those bikes, so effin easy to work on, not to mention you don't typically need to. They remind me of a rotax twin. easy and pretty bullet proof. Nice work though that is quick. Was that in and out of the bike? cause that would be super impressive.
I run Shinko ravens on my Tiger and they do pretty dam good. Avon makes an awsome set as well. FYI.... the 6r does do the fire roads well, actually dam near as good as my tiger.
Tiger 1050 was my choice, the triple is unreal, comes with luggage, 50 mpg, 2 up AAAaaaaalllllllllll.............. day! I can also say the passenger seat is better than the fz1, sorry, but so true.
The tiger is a nice bike, but I actually prefer the 6r for that purpose. I also ran the shinko ravens, great for touring, and not terrible for some light off road/backroad exploring. They actually stick pretty good for some fun in the twisties, unless you are a weekend hero.... not a track tire.
I like the shinko ravens
9k miles per set minimum, I got 12 on one set with another bike. Sticky enough for fun rides, but not meant for track days, they excel at touring the backroads.
Sorry to hear about your misfortune, consignment at desplaines honda will get it a goood price fast. I know the guys over there and if you want I can talk with them. They are good people, and will get you what you want.
good luck though. btw, mine just got traded in with 12k on it, and I got...
I was curious to the mileage on your fz1, as well, how it handles next to my tiger. I rode an older one but not the new one. My older one was still carbed and sucked for mileage, like 35 to 40. I am getting 52 right now on my tiger.
I was likeing the fz but eh, I fell into this thing and I...
If you run the advan tires it actually does quite well on the fire roads as well as some dirt. I camped off mine in the back roads quite a few times. I made an aluminum v-plate for protecting the lower plastice piece under the exhaust. I also ran adv monster lights, and was considering making a...
To be honest powder coating is an effective way, and much more durable as well. But if you like the honda gens. look go for it.
You could always be pissing in your own cheerios but don't be mad if it tastes funny..... LOL! powder coat them, it is cheap, less time consuming and will look...
LOL!!! so the fact remains that even on the cops video the SUSPECT was not involved..... I didn't see him stopping in front of the cop, going back the wrong way, maybe they should have gone after the guy on the white bike, wearing a black shirt picking up the crap and chick rather than the guy...
Just wondering why you didn't buy the Aprilia first..... had a Faco and a Mille, both are far better bike and those were the v twins. I wanted to see how the new v4 is but I don't want that type of animal anymore. I can't do the travels on that and while Aprilia makes some of the best bikes you...
