    coolant temp sensor mod

Well I posted a while back on using resistor 4.7k ohm plugged into intake temp sensor to trick ecu into thinking cool air coming in thus increasing fuel and ignition advance. Well the coolant temp sensor trick does the same thing but way more aggressive. By putting in a 4.7 ohm 1/2 watt resistor...

    R6 front end on FZ6R

u said that swapping the front end with other 41mm forks might cause issues and bad compatibility with wheel and such, arent u already doing that with the r6 front end ? ur using r6 front wheel forks and brakes. sounds like the same thing as if u were swapping with drop in 41mm forks. please...

    R6 front end on FZ6R

wouldnt it be alot easier to find fully adjustable 41mm forks and just drop them in ? i think honda f3 forks are 41mm i know the 99 yzf1000 thunder cat or what ever is 41mm. all u would need is just the forks, wheels and brakes. with the r6 i think you need to bore out the steering stem so the...

    60K miles or above ?

my 2010 has 59,200 miles and is ridden everyday regardless of weather. besides normal replacement of chains sprockets and tires, i only had to replace front right fork seal due to me dropping the bike too hard practicing wheelies. hows your high mileage bike doing or what have u had to replace ...

    fz6 throttle body ?

yes i also thought about r6 TB but after research i found out the fz6 and fz6r both share a 4 hole 2 way dynamic group style fuel injection system (basicly 1-3 inject fuel then 2-4 inject fuel) and the r6 uses i think 8 hole injectors and they are seqential fuel injected so they fire all...

    fz6 throttle body ?

all i need for the TB swap is the rubber boots that bolt to the cylinder head, velocity stackes and the throttle body. i will enlarge the factory airbox velocity holes in the box and install the fz6 ones. everything else is plug and play. i have sportbike performance handbook that i learned...

    fz6 throttle body ?

abyss1406 i dont think our engine pull enough vaccum to deform at high RPM but i did take out my inner tall stacks and replace them with the factory shorts, now they are all even and i did notice a slight bump in power. the difference in our long and shorts is only like 3/4 inch or so. skooter65...

    fz6 throttle body ?

I know about intake stacks, longer tubes are better for lower ranger powerband and short tubes are for upper range powerband. smaller tubes are better for torque and bigger (not too much) is better for upper horsepower. the reason all the 4cyl sport bikes (that i know of) have two long and two...

    fz6 throttle body ?

dream crusher lol i know im just chasing the dragon. i did think about pulling out the stock forks and installing 41mm forks from a super sport. a buddy had a yamaha yzf1000 thundercat that had full adjustable 41mm forks. i could swap the forks and brakes straight over. i love how the fz6r feels...

    diag tools ?

does anyone work at a motorcycle shop that supplies diag scanners for yamaha's ? you can buy a scaner for your car that shows injector dwell ignition advance and alot of other sensor readers but i wanna know if they make a scanner we can plug into our factory harness and be able to read live data.

    fz6 throttle body ?

i hear what your saying marthy, other than the cams, ignition, and throttle body size what seperates us from the fz6 ? we are making roughtly 70 hp vs 95 hp. do you know of the fz6 cylinder head having different valve sizes or port sizes ? in theory if the cylinder heads are the same valve and...

    Fork seals and warranty

ii had my right fork seal leaking around 46k miles. i bought two seals (in case the left one started leaking) and a 32 ounce bottle of belray 10w oil. Factory fill i believe is 5w, 10w is a tad bit better IMO. I bought a 1 1/2 inch PVC pipe and cut it in halve and used it as a home made seal...
