sprocket change speedo off ?

i just replaced my sprockets and chain, ordered kit online for $102 came with JT sprockets 16t 43t and bikemaster o-ring chain. anyone have to calibrate the speedo or know how much the speedo will be off ? my guess is that it wont be more than 4mph. this is my 3rd chain and sprocket replacement. went from factory 16/46 to 16/45 now 16/43.

From the factory my speedo read 7% too high. They all do. According to Sprocket Calculator - the easy motorcycle sprocket and chain calculator your sprocket changes will reduce the speedo reading by 7%. It's perfect! Confirm with a GPS. Your odometer now reads 7% under. You'll have to increase indicated miles by 7% to accurately calculate your mpg.

so to be safe just do 5mph under untill i get a gps to confirm ? because before i had 16/45 gearing and on the freeway doing indicated 75 (speed limit) everyone else was doing the same, minus the speeders.....

If you have an android or any type of smart phone, you can get a speedometer app. I use Digihud on my HTC, due to the speedo in my car not operating. It was free too!
