    Need help controlling my money!

What I've been doing is looking at the Ducati Monster 1100S. That stopped spending on my FZ6R, in very short order. :D

    HF motorcycle lift review

What would be the contact/lift points though?

    2009 FZ6R vs. 2007 VFR800 Interceptor… If anybody cares.

I don't get the new VFR1200. Most of my motorcycling buddies don't like the way it looks. Me, however, I absolutely love it. The red paint absolutely sparkles, and that's indoor at the dealer! My Yam dealer also happens to sell Hondas--and they hate it. It's a lot rock--it's just not selling...

    HF motorcycle lift review

Not to mention, I no longer have the OEM exhaust header/exhaust assembly on my bike anymore... I wonder how a shop would lift my bike... Overhead sling??

2011: and now there are 2 colors

While it seems like the BMW and a Japanese literbike are very close in MSRP (especially the CBR1000RR), the transaction prices of the two can be very different... From what my local BMW Motorrad dealer told me, the S1000RRs are on backorder. Not sure about other BMW dealers around the country...

    contemplating

Also remember, on the FZ6R, the bars can flip around and be 20mm further away for you taller folks! I test rode a Ninja 650, a Gladius, and the FZ6R. My biggest turnoffs for the Ninja were: * Lots of vibrations * Engine sounded agricultural. Sounded like it belonged in some riding lawn mower. *...

What to do in Napa, CA?

Okie doke, sounds good! Joloy133 & Roaddawg will get a PM shortly. :)

    Most Mods in a week?

Wait a sec... 1.5mm fork lowering? Is the difference noticeable? I dropped mine 12mm and it's *just* perfect now, for turn in.

What to do in Napa, CA?

Hmmm. It will be mostly evenings that I'll be free. I guess I should have mentioned that. :D

What to do in Napa, CA?

... and don't say wine tasting. :) Will be in Napa for a few days, for work next week. Wanted to see if anyone might happen to know what one could do there...

    Harbor Freight Aluminum Rear Stand

Bought said stand; bought said paddles. No worky. :(

    So, who's is bigger?

Didn't think we were talking about bikes here till I clicked on the link... :D

Doggy was nice this time... :))

I'm kinda w/ Blue Sun on this one... I too have a dog, and STILL, I agree w/ him. You're right, it's not the dog's fault, it's a defective owner. But here's the deal--would you rather suffer? Heck no. I was going to say, hey, ever see "There's Something About Mary?" But Blue Sun beat me to...

    Frustrated beyond belief!

Dang. That's a long time for the bike to be out of service. I'd definitely consider the lemon law route. Be aware though, even with lemon law, in many states all you get is the depreciated value of the bike! :(

help me pick a jacket lol

Yes, I nearly went with the Laguna Seca... till I found out I couldn't zip pants to it! :( That white color too, I figured, would have really helped in humid summers!

help me pick a jacket lol

Dainese Zen here. Full circumference zipper, links w/ the Dainese New Drake Air Tex armored pants. I've been using this as my summer getup, since I have a separate set for the winter. The Dainese gear works up to about 95F, so long as I'm moving. No airflow = hot. But I guess that'd be true if...

Express Way Tolls, Avoid or Pay?

That was an amusing, yet odd story. At least you didn't get a citation! Another irony... Mike's buddy had pigspotter mirrors on his bike, yet failed to see the cops... :)

    My Bike Melted!

If I remember correctly, there is a layer of sticky foam that bridges the space between the instrument cluster and the windscreen... perhaps it's that??

I didn't know yamaha built car engines XD

Same here. No way would I want that Lex. I'll take the GT-R, and have enough dough left over for a part of a house!

Retuning The FZ6 to its R6 Roots

I wonder if it might be best to just buy a junked/crashed R6 (like an 04MY), then transplant the head onto the block. Transplant the wiring harness and ECM. I think the whole damn head is different on our bikes. Those R6s had dual-valve springs to handle the additional revs, bigger TBs as some...
