I don't get the new VFR1200. Most of my motorcycling buddies don't like the way it looks. Me, however, I absolutely love it. The red paint absolutely sparkles, and that's indoor at the dealer! My Yam dealer also happens to sell Hondas--and they hate it. It's a lot rock--it's just not selling...

Not to mention, I no longer have the OEM exhaust header/exhaust assembly on my bike anymore... I wonder how a shop would lift my bike... Overhead sling??

While it seems like the BMW and a Japanese literbike are very close in MSRP (especially the CBR1000RR), the transaction prices of the two can be very different... From what my local BMW Motorrad dealer told me, the S1000RRs are on backorder. Not sure about other BMW dealers around the country...

Also remember, on the FZ6R, the bars can flip around and be 20mm further away for you taller folks! I test rode a Ninja 650, a Gladius, and the FZ6R. My biggest turnoffs for the Ninja were: * Lots of vibrations * Engine sounded agricultural. Sounded like it belonged in some riding lawn mower. *...

Dang. That's a long time for the bike to be out of service. I'd definitely consider the lemon law route. Be aware though, even with lemon law, in many states all you get is the depreciated value of the bike! :(

If I remember correctly, there is a layer of sticky foam that bridges the space between the instrument cluster and the windscreen... perhaps it's that??
