Seat(s) are back!

i actually bought a old set off a member here so i wouldnt have to go the week without the bike, which was a good thing because the patch i ordered from China took forever. yours looks awesome that is probably the best ones i have seen. Kinda wish i did that tri color thing on mine.
Hey wait a minute, your in T.O.? I grew up there and work in Westlake.
I'm right off of Lindero Cyn., we should ride sometime!

Yeah, hard to just look and clean all week. I did get out on my '78 DT175 for a little around town action;

I bought the patch off ebay, from a guy who stocks them in the States, had it dropped ship directly.

Postman dropped off the seat(s) at noon today. Quick run through the canyon and to the coast. Seats are very comfortable and fit perfect. Big thanks to Eddie(DirtRoad) for the professional job and quick turnaround.

Small Fricken world. I am off Lindero Canyon too! Right at T.O. Blvd just a block up from Guitar center off Corsa. I live in the valley now but like is said work up here and my parents still live here.

We should def. hit up a ride some time, at least over to cop lane (mulholland) for a quick run. Im usually available most weekend. except this one, suzuki test rides on sat and the angel game on sunday.

Seats look awesome on your bike, was that your idea for the three color? Big difference in the seat huh? just dont really notice it anymore. Good work.

Send me a PM anytime and we'll hook up for a ride!

I liked the red seats but wanted to break it up, so Eddie suggested the black/white/red combo, made these up and got it perfect on the first try!

Amazing difference in comfort and no ball crunch. Anyone thinking of a custom seat should consider dirt road.

Im glad this thread helped, everyone should mention Me to Eddie so if i ever get a new bike he can give me a break on my seat because i will be going back to him when i do. :D

I have talked to about i think 20 people or so who have had him do the seats and the count of people who did NOT like it or think it was worth every penny (half a corbin) sits at ZERO :)

Dirt Road Custom Seats

Thought I'd share with you the work that Eddie has done for me recently. I came across his info here on the forum, so thanks to Tony for the direction there. I asked Eddie for a slight rise as I wanted a bit more height in the saddle and secondly I wanted to keep from sliding way up on the tank. He answered with what I'll say was a great remedy. He leveled off the well a bit and the foam he uses makes SUCH a difference I couldn't believe it was the same seat! His communication and turn around times were very quick. I sent the front seat first then the passenger a month later. Note, I did not have the passenger seat altered at all, just re-covered. With that being said I couldn't find a patch that I was really sold on for the rear, so I sent it off to Eddie for the work without the tuning fork logo... He contacted me shortly after I shipped it off to him stating he had found one in Wisconsin! He sent me the link to see if that's what I was looking for and sure enough... He ordered it and had it sent to him directly. Within 5 days I had it back on the bike and IMHO the finished product looks awesome!

that looks awesome, in fact it looks just like my seat but blue :)
Except i did have the foam mod done on the rear as well. Glad you like it, HUGE difference. You will just not notice the seat anymore. I just got a spyder and was asking him about doing that one but i need to save up a couple bucks first, its a big *** seat and i need to get risers first.

It must be the way people attach pictures, i can see his blue seats up above fine but yours just has that little square saying there should be a picture there. I always hit the attachments button is there another way? whatever that way is i cant see the pictures.

I like that with the red piping. Would be even better with the red tuning fork logo right in the middle of the rear seat. Maybe a future upgrade as I am running out of things to upgrade.
Hey Scott long time no speak hope all is well. I still cant see his pict, im sure it has to do with work but what i cant figure out is why i can see some and some i cant. Anyway i got the tuning fork on mine but not the red piping just the stitching. I thought about it. Scott if your riding the stock seat do it, you will absolutely not regret it!!

Hey Tony, I've been trying to come around more. Just doesn't ever seem to be any new activity. Spring will not get here soon enough. I probably won't do the seat this season. Already spent a bunch of money on new gear and some goodies. Unless I have some down time over the summer (like a vacation away from home, so I can send seats out and not lose my bike for a while).
Glad your doing well and yea activity is definitely down. I hear you about winter, Already had 3 weekends i could not ride! thats equal to all last winter already and its still a couple months to spring! Well last weekend was raining and i did take out the new spyder, hey it has 3 wheels who cares about wet :)
