It's like a sport bike and a cruiser had a baby. haha

Hmm... Kinda looks like a 750 Nighthawk revival to me. Body wise at least.

pretty interesting looking bike. I kind of like it and it looks like they are putting the same motor from the nc700 in this bike as well. That's a nice motor and with a decent exhaust on it it would sound really good... That motor has a nice long stroke on it.

I agree that it's essentially a revival of the nighthawks. Still it's a good looking revival.

Smart idea to get more riders into the market who arent ready or dont want a manual trans.....a lot of people enjoy shifting and I love it, one of my fave parts of riding, but so many people fear it and this gives them a semi sporty comfortable bike with an auto trans. All its missing is a shaft drive versus chain/belt and youd have a seca 750 on ur hands lol

It's a great bike overall, in fact the same day I got my FZ, the nc700x manual transmission was my counter choice and to be honest I was falling for it.

The seating position is great, height and the extra storage space is more than ideal for a daily commuter and it handles great because of the lower point of gravity. It looks, it rides and feels great and price wise it's almost even with the FZ, but to be honest I just wanted to hang on on this forum with my fz. jk.

I made my research prior visiting the dealership and I was sold for the yamaha but If I couldn't had the FZ that day, I'm sure I would have the Honda by now.

It looks like if you get the base non abs model it has a standard trans. Either way I wouldn't buy one of these, they're hideous

Yup. Exactly the same as the NC700X. Probably 80% or more parts commonality. They can afford to put it out there and see if it sells, and given the commonality with other models, it doesn't need to sell that many units to be a success. My guess is they will find plenty of people who like the cruiser riding position, but who don't feel the need for a V-twin with all the vibes and chrome.

With gas prices where they are, lots of people are looking for motorcycles as more powerful alternatives to small scooters for commuting and getting around town. This one, more than the taller NC700X, would be comfortable for 2-up riding around town too. (It's one thing that cruisers are uniquely good at.)
quite true statement.
