I'd be done after that. Double :surrender::surrender:

holy cow...

I cant believe he got out of that with only a broken wrist

So of course I sat there hitting play and pause as fast as I could. The tail section of the bike missed his asscrack/nuts by mere inches. That would have been really bad >_>

I think anyway I dunno

I don't wanna threadjack or anything but can someone explain to me in layman why when I watch vids like this....the crash bike seems to speed up faster than all the other bikes?! Is it because the bike is airborne and air has less resistance than asphalt or is it just an optical illusion? It looks like that bike came close to catching up with and hitting all the others in front.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Extremely lucky that the cartwheeling bike didn't crash down on top of him!!

Wow..............

I think maybe the other bikes are still in the process of slowing down for the corner and the bike that crashed is still going at a fast speed due to flipping almost instantly after hitting the breaks. Another theory is as the bike flipped it hit the rear tire that was still at speed which propelled the bike further. Just a few theories. Hope that helped

I would side with option #1, I'm willing to bet he seized front brakes as soon as he touched them. Probably a mechanical failure, but the riders in front were either braking or rolled off throttle and engine braking into that turn. The wrecked bike was just travelling at straight away speeds.

The rider directly in front of him was lucky as all get out. I'm willing to bet that only missed by a couple feet at most. And THAT'S another reason mirrors aren't allowed on tracks. Can you imagine if you check your six and see that coming? First...:eek:, then....poop.

*Chills*:eek:

Once the rider was off the bike, the bike didn't speed up, it slowed at a lesser rate than the rider. The bike has so much more mass, it doesn't decelerate as quickly as his frail little rag doll body does.

I'm going to racebike school on Tuesday. I'll let you know if anyone stops to help me up.

Is it track protocol to just keep going and let the track staff handle? Because if I were the guy who just filmed that dude hurtling past me, I'd probably be inclined to stop and help that guy out rather than just hammer through my next corner and get back to my business.

Am I wrong here? Cause that guy looked like he probably got seriously F'ed up.

Yes, you are not to stop at all on a track. You keep going. No need to cause more accidents/congestion. There are trained officials/staff right there to help.
