Serviced my Rocket Ride,
dropped fluids, cleaned chain and front sprocket area -mucky as

measuerd my chain and discovered she will be okay for another 5K km (atleast)

Ready to give her a bubble bath on the weekend
and then she will be ready for my Targa Tasmania:mikebike:

That last winter storm effected the shipping on the oem parts I ordered for my exhaust.I finally got that stuff today, installed my new studs, gaskets, and I've got the exhaust back on now/checked for leaks.

I'm gonna eat dinner now then start throwing the body back on my bike tonight.I've done alot to my bike the past few weeks while it was down.Besides from alot of maintenance, I upgraded my indicators, installed my underglow parts, etc.

I'll get some pics up in a day or two, its raining here tonight.

Yeap lol, the sad thing is that I keep ordering more stuff to mod.I ordered some orange plasti dip yesterday time to try some orange pegs.

I keep looking at aluminum pegs, not sure if I want to paint the current ones or change to aluminum pegs.

Im used to dirtbike and atv pegs so I was planning on replacing them.But my new Alpinestars grip the rubber on our pegs like crazy, so I might as well just spray them real quick since Im a little happier with them now.I've never felt vibrations through my feet so it would probably just backfire if I replaced them anyway.

I just got some Speed and Strength Moto Mercenary shoes delivered today. They were my birthday present delivered late. Look and feel great, but not worn on bike obviously. I have Bilt Race Boots, but they're too aggressive for commuting. I know the moto mercenary shoes aren't very protective, but they're better than normal boots or sneakers which I would normally wear to commute. Gonna wear them and my Bilt Ironworkers and Icon Overlord Textile for commuting. Would like another pair or 2 of the Ironworkers (very comfortable and look good), but I'm trying to lose a few so I want to wait till mid summer time.

Yeah, Been looking at a lot of S&S gear. Was actually thinking of grabbing an armored hoodie for commuting. Has CE shoulder, elbow and back armor. Good impact protecting and minor slide protection. Not for track, but may be good for my commute. I'm gonna check the t-shirts. The shoes are awesome and the kids loved them. I'd rock them on or off the bike.

Well, I wouldn’t feel right telling you that this armored jacket is going to do a lot for you in case you hit the pavement at anything more than walking speed. The armor might do some good for a split second, but if the shell comes apart immediately there won’t be anything to hold that armor in the places it’s supposed to be as you tumble or slide. There are days I just wore a hoody so I think I'd take the extra protection. I want to see how my new Icon Overlord textile performs.

Just making sure you knew.I saw the mesh inside the hoody and thought it was built on a mesh jackets frame until I saw motorcyclegears comment.I've worn my leather jacket the past 2 years so it just seemed like an extreme downgrade in my protection.

Are you talking about your overlord pants, I thought you already rode in them for some reason?You can't beat them for what they cost.They aren't much more expensive then riding jeans but have been alot more flexible commuting for me then jeans would have been.I won't be able to afford a pants upgrade for a few months, so I'm thinking about sewing a couple snap buttons on the overlord pant legs to copy speed and strengths hemm saver design.Besides from hearing the pant legs scrape as i walk, they get dirty fast rubbing the ground.

I actually love the jacket, seems very protective and comfortable. Has vents for warmer days and has a removable liner. Just looks really aggressive which is why I wanted the Icon. Looks totally motorcycle, but not race styled. I'll check the hoodie as well. Thanks!

I got one ordered to check out.I couldn't order from myleather.com because its a wholesale place with a $400 minimum for bulk. I ended up googling "xelement armored hoody" leatherup.com has them for $40.They have 10% off this weekend, coupon code 3ds14.After the coupon my order was $43 total, $36 for the hoody and $7 s&h.

Now I just need a vest for it, it never ends lol.At least I saved enough money to justify the Live by the Sword vest, if I can lose my gut I'll be able to get my Bane on lol.Thanks for keeping me interested in the hoody idea

Only problem I see with the Xelement Hoodie is that it doesn't have CE armor. It just has shoulder and elbow padding. The S&S has CE armor including back. Without seeing one in person though it would be hard to tell how good the armor is. Maybe I'll have to ride to Revzilla sometime and try one on.
