First day I ever rode I did 45, 60 the next day, 95 a week later. All in controlled situations without traffic. It's quite a feeling.got out and hit a road with speed limit greater than 35mph today. exhilarating! i didn't expect the wind would be so loud. might have to look into getting one of those double bubble windshields.

first ride was 15 miles second was 200 third was 200 ish haha
I was talking mph
1. Cleaned the chain really well.
2. TOTALLY washed the bike. *Even removed chain guard to clean the grime off the underside of it.
3. Polished all the plastics on the bike, restoring the shine to all the blacks also.
4. Waxed the chain.
*Next mission pending how much I can ride this week and next. Change the oil over to Amsoil and do the 4000 mile service. That will be done Saturday 6/2 or Sunday 6/10. With another wash and chain cleaning.

Today I went for a 80 mile round trip out to a nearby drag strip to see some races. Only saw three motorcycles though. Then when I got back I did my second oil change (@ 717 miles on the odometer).
Yesterday I installed my Danmoto carbon fiber mufflers and remapped my ECU. I was going to wait until after my break in period, but I just couldn't stand looking at the stock cans anymore. I love the way these carbon fiber ones look, but boy are they LOUD. I have to wear earplugs every time now, and even then there is a drone between 5 and 6K RPM which of course is right where I tend to like to keep it. Or used to.

So. My son is off visiting family and I've the day off. What to do? Random ride, of course! 10 1/2 hours and three fill ups later (from starting at 3/4s tank), I return home. It's the longest ride I've ever taken on this bike.
I rode highways. I rode backroads. I rode twisties and sweepers and you name it, I rode it. I stopped at Hooters and had dinner. I rocketed down Interstates. I got a cheek off on some 30mph-rated turns on a wilderness road. I stopped at little gas stations, in the middle of nowhere for a coffee, cigarette and fuel.
Upon returning home, I ache in nearly every muscle from my neck down. My butt is so sore It's difficult to describe in genteel company. I think I left permanent imprints in the seat.
What a wonderful, freakin' awesome day! I love this bike.

Got caught in a downpour yesterday, so cleaned and oiled the chain today... Looked and felt like it had too much slack so adjusted it for the first time. Shifts were a bit smoother afterward and a good bit of noise was eliminated. Probably should have adjusted it around 500 miles ago.
