Sheeeeeet! Now look, I loved my FZ6R, I mean seriously I did....
But um..... Well.... I'll just say it's completely different so wont say better/worse, ect..
The bike has 3 mode settings, Lowest setting (C mode) puts the bike at about 115 HP, (B mode), kicks it up to about 160HP while A mode is 181.7HP no bs(had dyno done at dealership in A mode). Now Busa owners will tease you if you use anything other than A mode however I have been riding in C & B mode mainly(training wheels). I did put it in A mode for a while but HOLY CR*P is the feeling you get when you twist the throttle. I will need to get used to it. Being a Bigger/taller rider, It seems to fit me a lot better. I don't feel bumps at all, I don't even know how to describe the handling because it feels like a luxury Cadillac while going down the road. It turns great, some with an R1 may disagree but coming from an FZ6R it's like night and day. I was practicing throttle control in B/C mode on a round-about and couldn't believe how far over I was leaning.
The clutch is hydraulic or something so the shifting is way smoother than I'm used to. This is coming from someone who thinks the FZ6R is smooth in it's shifting. In A mode, I can do 80mph in 1st gear & 120 in 2nd(no bs). The bike is wider and heavier but the engine makes up for it. I really can either ride upright, 3/4 or tucked depending where I scoot myself on the long seat.
My wife likes it because the rear seat is huge, she can see over my shoulder, ect.
My Insurance company does NOT like it so my premium went up.
I am no stunter, but in A mode, the front wheel will lift off the ground in 1st, 2nd & 3rd. I discovered that on my A mode try, yet I wasn't trying, just a few inches but was still like "OH SH*T"
The bike sounds like a Hemi Super charger or something in person with the two brothers exhaust. I had a two bros on the FZ6R and loved it also.
The bike has a huge 190 tire on rear, which is much different feeling than the 160 that I'm used to.
The power is very very smooth, similar to the FZ6R yet different at the same time. On the Busa, once you pass 4500 RPM's, you really are hanging on. It's not just the HP you feel rather it's the TORQUE.
I need to learn better throttle control than I had with the FZ6R. The FZ6R allowed me to go completely crazy on the throttle and was very forgiving, the Busa is not unless you're in C mode. In A mode, the slightest flinch and I mean flinch makes the Busa want to take off & jerk.
Brakes: wow, this thing stops fast, major grip especially the front brakes.

I only did one top speed run and let's just say.... Well, i'll keep that one for myself.
I bought some sort of anti-slide mesh that goes over the rear seat called a triboseat cover similar to this one for my wife.

We all love our bikes, and I am no different. The Busa is my new girl, so I've been spending a lot of time with her. Looking at the weather reports. Going out in 35, 40, 50, 55 degree weather. Now this is crazy but true, I have already had her out in a downpour & a day after it snowed when it was like 40 but 25 and snow the day before. When it actually gets warm, I will be ready.
So In Conclusion: It's like going from a V6 camero or mustang to a V8 super charged engine. It's deeper, more powerful ect ect. But I really didn't buy this bike for all that power and speed. I bought it because being larger/taller I wanted something that was a little better fit for me and my wife. I sat on/tested some liter bikes but just wasn't comfortable on them. I also sat on the kawi x14 but wasn't feeling it. I sat on this thing and was like "I'm Home, this is it!"

Is it just me or does that "amazing product" seem like rubber toolbox/cupboard base liner. Pretty sure it's the same stuff. Either way, glad it seems to work for people.

I haven't received it yet but it should be here any day(maybe even today). I will do a review of it and post it. Even if it is what you describe, it could add a lot of seat grip so the passenger doesn't slide. Plus my understanding is that it is simply tied to the underbelly of the seat... easy on/easy off, for under 20.00 it was worth a shot.
Agreed, just making an observation, also hinting that it is possible to DIY if that is what it ends up being.
