I was thinking to myself last night. If you were to lower your bike with the link and bring you forks up the 1.75 the instuctions say...do you think there would be enough clearance to for standard clipons...just my thought but i think it could work if you mount over the triple tree

Yes, this has been done by guidobergamo here.

Here's my finding on the space requirement of the Apex and Woodcraft clip ons if you were to install it on top of the triple. The Apex requires 1.25" and the Woodcraft 1.5" approximately.

We are just waiting on a few folks who were going to try to install the clip ons under the triple.

What Guidobergamo did isn't what hes asking, those are the riser clip ons he used, the OP is wanting to know if STANDARD clip ons would work.

Honestly I do not think they will though

My bad on the "Standard". I agree though it will not have much height to clear the fairing.

Can we cut, re-glue and lower the fairing with vinyl graphics to cover the seams so that we can use regular clip-ons?

Can do anything you want... :D Dont know how it will turn out, etc. but the sky is the limit with custom fab work.

Here is the side of my R6 and you can see how they have the fairings so the clip-ons have the room they need to move.

Now on the FZ6R:

The fairings are kind of flowing in the wrong direction on the FZ... Maybe if you cut on the line where it is going up towards the headlight. You would pretty much need to get rid of the whole fake air scoop and redo some body work to flush it up at the headlight.

There is just absolutely no room for standard clip-ons unless you get those big riser ones. And if you lower the front of the bike THAT much to get them on, the handling will be very dangerous. The forks on the FZ dont hardly even go above the fairings. So that would be lots of work to make standards fit.

They come on the 09 R6...

Lucky you, they also come on the 2010 Raven FZ6R! So you could buy them if you so choose I would guess. Or powder-coat yours...
