Hey everyone! I don't know about the rest of you, but I think our keys look super cheap, so I went ahead and ordered a replacement key online that looks WAY better. The key itself cost $0.99 with free shipping AND my dealership cut it for free! Here are some pics of the keys and a link to the place I ordered my key from. Best spent $0.99!

Theft in AZ? You must really want those pink underwear and hand-cuffs. But I don't judge. To each their own .

Not really worried about my bike getting stolen. It's insured and with 60k miles on it, I wouldn't mind receiving a new ride. So if you really want to take it, you'll be doing me a favor

those look like the European model keys that a vendor (slow boy racing) is selling on the R6 forum as well... but, he wants $12 per key.

I've had the $12 variety for... uh... a long time and have still yet to find anyone to cut it for me. Dealer said I'd have to go to a specialized locksmith. I kind of gave up.

Oh man, sorry to hear that. I tried 2 places here, and both said they could do it so I figured it's a standard piece of equipment for any authorized dealership.

bacially the same, but from another seller, got a key in the mail today for my Ninja, $0.56 total shipped from China, won auction 3/30 - not bad 10 days from overseas = can't beat it

I have a locksmith down the street from my house and they charged me $2.00 to cut my blue key. Oh, and a tip, they can cut it with your current key, don't use the key code that came with your bike, that is more expensive, and it will yield the same result.

Yep... I'm guessing most can, but for some reason, the one near me cannot. Harley couldn't either.

I bought a blank from a stealership, but their machine was down and they couldn't cut it. I carried that key around for two weeks, trying to find someone who could cut it. Finally got it done at Lowe's, and they didn't charge me for it.

Got my eBay key last week. I'll get it cut when I get back from Hawaii.
