Yes, yes it is. 
Is there anyone else out there on an FZ6R in the San Diego area? Or is it just r0bot and I. I just don't seem to see any around town except at the dealerships. I'm getting mine this weekend and I've only seen two on the road in the last 3 months I've been really paying attention. And I'm on the road a lot as an outside sales rep. And nobody from my MSF class this weekend had ever heard about it. Did Yamaha not do a very good job of promotion on the bike or is the market just really that bad? I'm kind of making out though. Some of the dealerships around seem to have them marked way down like they can't get rid of them. I'm getting one on Saturday for $5990! (Not sure what it will be OTD yet but I'm thinking around $7600 or so.) I just can't believe a bike so perfect for new(er) riders isn't selling when so many people are getting bikes to save on gas. The MSF instructors yesterday said they've had almost full classes every single week for the last two years and a huge majority of people said they were getting a license and a bike for commuting.
Anyway, I'm getting mine as a weekend toy. Can't wait to get it this weekend and get some time on the roads. I'll be hitting up some of the nice mountain rides soon.

I have only seen one other FZ6R...I'm in San Diego and ride combo of commute and mountains...just don't see many. For the price and how well it rides I think we will see more as time goes on.
Well I'm heading over to SD House of Motorcycles in about and hour and a half to pick mine up. :rockon: :steve: I really hope it dries up. We haven't had a drop of rain in four months and the day before I go get my bike it decides it's going to rain. :banghead: I'm not comfortable riding in the wet being a new rider and the first time on a new bike. I think not.

Did you get your bike? San Diego is a great place to ride...especially out towards Julian, and 79 towards Palomar Mtn, Cuyamaca....great places. Probably not too hard on the RPM's for the break in time.
Yes I did. :steve: It was just barely raining when I got up Saturday but we left for the dealership anyways. It dried up in plenty of time. Beside, my sales guy Ray at SDHM said if it started again, they don't usually let you ride a new bike home in the wet on a brand new tire. They'd put it in a truck and drive me home at no charge. So far the service I've been getting there has been superb. I'd recommend them to anyone in San Diego.
Luckily it was nice and dry the rest of the weekend. I've put about 230 miles on since then. Rode up to Santa Ysabel casino with a buddy on Sunday. Nice little ride. I've covered a bunch of the small back roads here in Lakeside pretty well too. Did 40 miles after work today out to Viejas on Olde Highway 80. I'm still a very new rider so some of the more twisty roads like Sunrise and Cuyamaca are going to be a little later.

Went up to Palomar mountain today. Nice and empty. Not too many people up there and perfect weather. Ran a few laps up and down, scraped pegs a couple of times Just had fun. Good reminder of how great it is to live in San Diego and get to ride like this at this time of year. I should have some pics later tonight or tomorrow after the photographers update their sites.

The upload really killed the little bit of resolution the samples have. I'm probably going to buy the full res version of one of those pics. Which one you think I should get?
On another note, I took my wife out for her first ride on the back of the bike today. She loved it. She was scared about leaning over at first, then she realized you don't really feel like you're leaning very far just cruising around town.

He's got the VALLE and JB and nothing else on a raven.
I'm waiting for my left hand to heal right now as the clutch is killing me to pull in.
I do some rides with the SCARS. So Cal Asian Riders. They don't care if you are Asian or not and they don't stunt so no Police or problems. Lots of activities but most center around San Gabriel so they do the GMR and I like the Snake on Mulholland.
I just got my new tires scratched in where I feel comfortable going into the corners so I want to get my chicken strips through the 4 zone into 5.
I'll leave the elephants alone.

Also joined up with the SCARS. Turns out i went to high school with the leader lol. As spunky said it doesn't matter if your asian, sport bike rider, or cruiser. There are always events going on. Register on meetup.com and/or Google so cal Asian riders.

I was supposed to get a call back earlier this week. I've been so busy working overtime i havent been able to call. Ive already got a lawyer for a lemon law claim.
Hey guys! Raven owner here from Temecula! I use mine as a commuter. I wish I had time to tour our back roads. I commute to SD 100 miles a day x5 days a week. Just started riding again and loving SO Cal weather. I was done with my break in in 2 weeks! Now I can truly appreciate the full range this bike has. What a sweet ride! See you guys out there on the road!
