Too shallow for an HID bulb. LED is your best bet. I got your pm, and responded. It does work really well with the Jam Straight bulbs. You can also get colored bulbs from here:

You'll also need I think a 3/4" drill bit.

Yea, wish I could find the part to see what bulb it is. I couldn't find it anywhere. Is the Aussie also called a FZ6R? Maybe I can find the part.

Though the wiring will most likely bit a little different - some splicing and you can fix that!

Do you have an OEM parts website you order parts from that maybe I could reference?

Not sure, in pics I saw fz6r on some of them. I was talking about it with one of the Aussies before, but I don't remember which one.

EDIT: Called my local dealer to try and get some info on it - apparently (according to them) its part of the head light which they wanted $608.00 AUD for...

I just googled euro yamaha parts and got some stuff. Didn't see a way to order, and you kinda have to guess as it is mostly not english. I would make the trip to Autozone and do it that way.
so i went through the UK parts catalogue...after some back and forth its listed under the model XJ6F(A).

Thats what I had found, my link I guess just sucked. I bet the part numbers I posted will match.
Think I may have to go ahead and do this mod since it is relatively cheap and not too complicated. I should get the red bulbs and people will think I'm the PoPo with my blue angel eye. The blue bulb would look great in there. Custom LED is the same place that made my magic blinkers for my running light mod (front flushies). Can this be done without actually taking the headlight off?
