The gixxer has a very well balanced light feel to it. I rode my buddies 750 and was surprised how light it was. Also has good ergos for a SS. The 675 is a gorgeous bike though. I'm still leaning towards the Ninja 1k. Only thing I don't like is the bars which I'd swap with some woodcrafts.I'm 5'3
I sat on a '12 at the dealer ship, I was able to hold it up without too much difficulty.
Because of my diminutive height though, I've only found one SS that I feel 100% comfortable on in stock form and that's the GSXR.
Cant be as bad as a bike I saw this weekend. Wish I coulda gotten a pic but, guy was riding an adventure bike and stopped at a light. He had both feet down, NIETHER of them truly touching the ground. The tip toes of his shoes were barely touching the ground. I dont mean toes bending, I mean like the tips of his toe nails would have been barely touching the ground! I forsee a fall over in that guys future. I would love a bike that I could barely flat foot! lolIts cool cerebus. It doesnt bother me hes probably just bored but hes technically "right".
I must say though this bike is really nice. The three cylinder sounds so different and very useable power. Only thing I'm needing to get used to is the seat height. I'm short guy 5'7 and i have to tipy toe. Going to most likely shave the seat or get a low gel seat they offer and maybe some riding boots dont want to mess with the suspension yet.
Just do a lot of research on it.. Fairings are very labor intensive to install/remove. Exhausts pose a risk of melting the heal of passengers boot rubber. May want to pay to upgrade to a 4-2-1 exhaust - looking closely at it and reading in the forums doing my due diligence on the bike as a possible trade in, the left exhause makes chain cleaning and lubing a PITA.I'm still leaning towards the Ninja 1k. I'm a big fan of the fz1 as well, but only if full fairing is available. I know there are aftermarket ones available.Just do a lot of research on it.. Finally maint costs... Valve check every 15k miles, vs the FZ6R and the FZ1 every 26k miles.
I have not made my mind up 100% yet, but I am beginning to lean towards just keeping my bike and letting that Ninja I can get go. Save up more $ and get the FZ1 or FJR next year maybe IN ADDITION to the FZ6R, rather than inplace of, like it would need to be on the Ninja now. Ninja is a SWEET bike though, I am just not sure if all those things above are for me.
