Lowered her a bit

I ended up taking it in to a shop today just to be safe. They realigned the forks and adjusted the bars to fit me a little better. Took about 30 minutes, well worth the $50 for the piece of mind and better fit.

ok so let me get this straight. In order to lower our bike in the front end all we need to do is loosen and tighten up the bolts on the triple tree/fork? no parts needed? anyone feel like doing a step by step process with pics?

It's so easy, if you look at it, just look at it, you'll easily figure it out. I think that's why a write up has not been created. The hard part is forcing it back down if you accidentally let it go to far up.

It's not rocket science people. The forks of nearly every bike are held in place with two sets of clamps called triple trees. To move, or remove, the forks the clamps have to be loosened. To loosen them all that you need to do is back off the pinch bolts built into the triple trees. If the weight of the bike is still fully on the forks, loosening those bolts will cause the front of the bike to slide down the fork tubes. Carefully doing it and doing it evenly gets you the result everyone is talking about.

If you have the bike suspended off the ground, you can reverse the process if you've gone too far. One way to suspend the front of the bike is with sturdy straps widely placed on the handlebars and attached to a come along anchored to an overhead beam. A less desirable method would be to place a board under the headers and jack it up. It would be preferable to remove the headers if you want to use a jack.

If you still aren't understanding what needs to be done, THEN DON'T DO IT! Take it to a shop and tell them what it is you want.

Great idea and super easy, especially if you have a center stand installed. Took about 10 minutes. Something about the 6R always looked "different" in the front and now it looks perfect. Even when I was looking at them online before I bought it almost 2 years ago, I told my wife the front end looked somewhat like a buffalo because the front seemed big. Fixed that problem, now she feels much sexier.
