Is this a good price for a 2009 FZ6R?

I found a yellow 2009 FZ6R, one owner/ by owner, suppose to be in excellent condition, with 2,210 miles on it. She is asking $4,725.00. Is the a good deal? I plain on having the bike looked at by the a dealer also.

Only problem I have to drive about 800 miles one way to pick it up! Haven't seen anything close to it in the Salem, Oregon area.

A few thoughts..

If the bike has not been abused and dropped etc. then this is a very fair asking price. Remember there is very often wiggle room in the final price. I always ask "How much wiggle room is there in your asking price. The sellers answer will determine your offer. A little means $500--Make me a offer could mean $1k. You get the picture.

Because of the 800 mile trip- you need to make sure you have a firm deal in place before leaving. Lots of detailed pics taken . No second buyer hiding in the bushes!

If the bike has been broken in properly then 2200 miles is like buying a new bike. The engine is very problem free. You get your yellow and save a bunch of money.. nice sound to that.

Make sure you are very careful when loading the bike on your truck or trailer. Get plenty of help.

Wait for a while. That is a normal price for an 09 fz6r. Wait until one pops up near you. You shouldn't have to pay more than 4500. Lots of people sell their bikes in the winter.
