How to make the FZ6R rev higher?

The engine fall off the cams pass 10 500 RPM with peak HP at 9200 RPM. Even with the FZ6 cams with peak HP at 10500 there's plenty of rev to make things happen... No need to raise the rev limiter. The single valve spring won't handle that much more to worth the risk of floating the valves and bending them.

As far as I know, there is no restricted bikes in Brazil.

Why do you want to rev it higher than the redline of 11,600 RPM? It's not going to give you any more power...plus, it's not designed to go higher.
Trade your bike in for an FZ6?
I'm sure there's a lot of Cessna owner who would like to hit MACK1... just won't mechanically happen. Wrong cycle... Won't get the 6R to spin 14K without spending $3-5K in parts and labor. Then you will still be stuck with an over weight fatty! LOL Get a R6... the bike weight much less and spin 16K or so.

Ok Marthy, but there must be a way, electronic wise...
the electronics will do nothing if the mechanics cant handle what you are trying to do...if you were to make the bike rev beyond its manufactured redline point you will for sure have a catastrophic failure and in that case you could kill your self....if i piston were to say shoot through your seat.... the bottom line is...like a fuse if you over load it.... the fuse will blow....if your trying to destroy the internals of your bike which it sounds like....then do proceed... if you want a faster bike....trade your fz6r in for a used fz6 or fz8... or even an fz1....if anyone knows what they are talking about and is worth asking its martin....end of story.

I'm with the rest. You gain nothing from higher revs. After 9200 RPM, the power drops off a cliff. Higher RPM will just produce even less power than it does at redline, and destroy the engine. The rev limiter at 11,666 is set by Yamaha after testing to keep you from trashing the engine. Engine power in every engine is a parabolic curve that rises to a peak at a certain RPM and then drops off from there. We're all finding it a little hard to comprehend why you want to increase the rev limit since you'll gain no increase in power and just start melting things from the extra heat or sheering parts from the extra stress.
