How much do you pay for Insurance?

This post just saved me a lot of $$. I was paying $1,144 with Progressive for max coverage. I just switched to State Farm for 580 for the same thing. Time for more mods....

My city isn`t all that small. We don`t have 100,000 people yet, but I`m not paying nearly alot. My car insurance is about double my insurance for my bike. But that is with AAA and and a more expensive vehicle.

I just switched to AAA yesterday.
$499.00 a year full coverage, high limits with a $100.00 deductable.

$380 Canadian in Montreal, 49 year old Male. Full coverage.

$395/year for full coverage plus uninsured motorist. Otherwise it'd only been $295/year.

If you knew how bad the Memphis area was about people not having coverage, you'd understand why I shelled out the extra $100.

Wow.....:D

I see the prices are really wildly different and it doesn't seen to matter with age, safety course etc on some of the policies.

I had Allied when I bought the bike because I was told what a great company they were and how great the rates were. I called them to make some changes and I called 3 weeks later to verify and they said they never got the change info even though I had verification the fax went through. Then they said I needed to fill out a special form and mail it in which is not what I was told before. I saw myself in the same position if I needed to report and collect if there was an accident or the bike got stolen. They want to sell you a policy but it's like pulling teeth and you may end up hiring an Attorney just to get them to comply with the contract.
I felt like a turd circling the rim and waiting for the drop into the sewer.
If the insurance company doesn't help you in your time of need, what good are they except for compliance to a state law regarding needing insurance for registration.

I know AAA is not the cheapest but they are responsive if there is a problem.
Just my 2 cents.

I pay $190 per year for full coverage with Rider's Insurance. 34yo male w/clean record and good credit.

People often forget that credit scores now play a big factor in insurance rates.

When I switched from my Boulevard ($240 per year w/Geico) to the FZ6R they quoted my $1200 because of the classification of the bike. It is definitely worth shopping around.

A friend of mine switched to Rider's Insurance and saved a few hundred dollars on his Boulevard and FZ6.

I'm with Foremost and its $682/yr with pretty high levels of coverage.

im with foremost aswell and i pay 550 for yr..its like 40 bucks a month for full coverage

I thought it was legit... made perfect cents to me...:iconbeer:

haha...

I like it.....I work for Honda...LOL.....:iconbeer:

I pay $490 a year, full coverage, with American Family. (31yo/female)

I'm going to have to start shopping around though once I want to start covering my gixxer. The way its rated will kill me if I stay with AmFam. I heard State Farm rates on cc's not style of bike -- so I'm checking with them among other companies. Or I may just put Liability only on the gixxer and cross my fingers every time I take her out.
