Company of insurance - Rider
$/ per month or year - $91 / year, liability only
how many bikes under insurance - 1
make and model of bike - FZ6R
how long you had insurance - 2 years with this
how many years you been riding - licensed 20 years

Yeah, I'm old.

Just bought it today... $396/year through Progressive, full coverage.
26 yrs old, clean driving record. Got discounts for Endorsement, Responsible driver, Home owner, MSF Course, and the fact that i'm married probably made a difference?

I checked a couple of months back before the marriage and the MSF course and I was quoted about $500-$600. Not sure if the MSF course made that much of a difference!

I have two bikes now and I got a quote today for my 09 FZ6R and my 08 Suzuki Burgman from Geico for $712 (w/o Uninsured motorists). Before my Suzuki was $200 so I guess my FZ6R is running me $512 per year. Is that pretty good or should I shop around some more? How about you? I did call Allstate which has my H/O Ins and he said he could get me $683 total for 2 bikes per year. :)

Not sure if you have this company in the states but it's called Jevco

I live in Canada with the worst prices for insurance and I pay only $400.00 complete.Hope this helps.

$274 /yr through progressive, $1000 deductible, full coverage, 2009 Blue FZ6R.

Had my endorsement 1 year and 1 year insurance previously through Geico.

Zip code is a huge factor in price. How's everything going with your bike and insurance Anthony?

Excellent. Still less than 150 miles on it, freaking tropical depressions have it raining here every day. My saddlebags, rain gear, and a few other goodies should be here by the end of the week. If it will just stay dry long enough for me to put it all on :p

i got USAA and for my truck and bike and renters insurance i pay 55.31 a month....depends on ur age too im 27, and military so i get discounts.

I pay $324 (27/month) to State Farm. I am a brand new rider.
Good credit
Good car record
50 comprehensive
250 collision
very good liability and un/under insured.

Dont forget SF only has $1k medical, other companies have higher medical and accessory coverages.

statefarm is ripping u off.....trust me u can get it much cheaper...i just switched from them i use to have them also and paid 130 a month...for liability

i thought i was getting jacked when my insurance company raised my rates 700 bucks per year when i switched from a 2003 beemer to the fz6r. then i called around for quotes -- AAA and others won't even carry this bike!!! i told them i'm a plump, gray-haired 46-year-old woman with lots of safety gear and safety courses, but they didn't care:) yamaha needs to either put more "touring" in this "sport touring" bike, or they need to educate insurance companies, because all four that i called list it as strictly a sport bike!
My insurance company listed it as sport touring....made my coverage very cheap
