Has anyone seen this or have it installed? I looked at the mounting instructions and it doesn't seem to make sense to me with it bolting under the seat and then to passenger foot peg?

Makes perfect since to me. You've got to have 2 points of support at least to be good and solid. In fact I think that's a great idea. I have the Fieldsheer soft bags and that's one issue I have with them is they tend to pinch in at the bottom. I don't use them too often though so it's not that huge of a deal. If I used them all the time I'd consider them for sure.
